Twice Green have sent Phil a new song all about Jenny, very weird. He obviously believes they are real as he's posted it on his page, along with a clip from the show of him and Audrey at their dancing lesson. Now if he doesn't have Sky, and hasn't seen the series, how did he get the clip?.
They've put it up on YouTube too so we can all have a good laugh!
As the thread's slowing down does anyone want to rediscuss what a cow Sam is?
I've been rewatching Chawners Last Chance and Sam's behaviour is horrible. She must have been so protected for the first two series, though I remember one episode that had Sam hitting Audrey and shouting at her in one scene, and then being coached on how to say 'No' assertively in another... (Does anyone buy her Cinderella story? She said she was the one who looked after the house and family all day - but if any one of them was doing an adequate amount of housework their house would look fine!)
'We can't exercise because me mum won't go on the walks, we can't clean the house because we mum won't do it! This is what I'm getting sick of!' Everytime Sam is asked to explain herself on an issue she manages to pin the blame on Audrey - who mostly sits there passively and take it!
I wish they'd stopped pandering to Sams self-pity and point out that she's using Audrey as a useful excuse to avoid doing anything.
That caravan weigh-in - glares and rebukes at Audrey for not losing any weight, then the other three had put weight ON and Sam stropped off to cry outside. And they were pissed off at Audrey for not putting weight on with the rest of them! How dare she not be their convenient scapegoat!!
It's a very co-dependent family. And, not just the girls, I think that any one of them that left the family could get slimmer and healthier. All four of them together create a very dysfunctional unit.
I've never had a lot of sympathy for Sam. She is like a toddler trapped in a grown woman's body. She has had so much money thrown at her, the Wellsprings stay cost thousands. She had every opportunity to escape her toxic family but she didn't. She is trapped, but it's of her own volition.
I'm the same. For the first 2 series I thought she was different from the others and would come good once away from the toxicity of her family.
But really she's a passive/aggressive nasty piece of work who treats Aud like a piece of the dog poop Emma is so fond of chucking in other people's gardens. She's also thick as two short planks, nigh on illiterate and delusional to the point of ridiculousness.
The only mitigating thing I'll say is it must be difficult living with a man whom she idolises  knowing he much prefers and has a pervy relationship with her sister.
Let's face it, is there a more disfunctional lot in Britain?
I missed these shows first time round as I don't have the Bio channel and they aren't on Virgin on demand. Is there anywhere I can watch them? I've searched everywhere and I feel as though I'm missing a treat.
As an aside, I have family in Great Harwood and they say the Chawners are so lazy they drive to the pie shop at the bottom of their road rather than walk.

Welcome to the thread.
There are clips on YouTube, but unless you get Bio, I don't think you'll be able to watch whole programmes. Sorry!
I can definitely believe the Chunkies are too lazy to walk to the pie shop!

Hi Boq and welcome to the thread, it's slowing down a lot these days as the Chawners dont seem to be doing anything of note.
I think you did miss an unintentional comic treat in series 1 & 2, but by the third they were just tediously predictable and frustrating with a dash of 'that joke isnt funny anymore'.
There's not really anywhere you can go after a 'Last Chance' so its unlikely there will be any more mileage from them despite Phil's vague ramblings of a Japanese reality show whatever that may entail (Bansai probably..)
They gained a small international fandom when the show was shown in NZ and the population all thought it was a 'Royle Family' style sitcom with actors in fat suits. However they deserted them in droves when the truth dawned.
As Salty said there are a few clips online and you never know Bio may well churn repeats out again but their ship has well and truly sailed.
Now if you could get your relative to go and throw eggs at their windows or park a skip outside I'm sure Phil's facebook page would spring back into life...

There's a pie shop at the end of their road? I'm moving to Great Harwood, there's only a chippy near me and that's only open at lunchtimes:(
People of their size only need to move a little bit more than they do to lose weight, they must be awfully uncomfortable, you'd think they would want to get a bit healthier.
They do want to get healthier. They really do. But of course it's all genetic and they're too ill to exercise and they've never got proper help and advice and they've been badly edited and everyone is jealous of them.

Now why doesn't that surprise me? :D:D
Unless it's to avoid being hassled by all their fans of course  Or the hecklers
Sorry but I just can't resist shouting: "WHO ATE ALL THE PIES!"
Awww. I was hoping that with all the cut backs dear Philth had had to give his Motability limousine back.
They could then send Aud to the pie shop. Just tell her there's a skip there!
According to facebook (or was it the Closer magazine comments section, under that hilarious interview the girls did?) Phil reckons the car is no longer paid for by motability, they have to pay for it themselves:eek: Aud got reassessed and had most of her DLA removed.
Presumably Sam, with her waitress at the weekend, co-ordinator Monday to Friday, jobs, pays for petrol, road tax and insurance? As well her sister's cigarettes and iPhone contract.
Or maybe the Japanese TV company has paid them a massive advance?
They are not well liked in Great Harwood at all. We were there for a funeral and the wake was held in a pub on their road. That's where I was told about their daily drives to the pie shop. Apparently they act as though they are A listers and anybody that doesn't treat them as such is just jealous.
I'm gutted that I never saw their televisual treats, but each time I go to Great Harwood I hope for a glimpse of them. So far no joy.

You should take an autograph book with you each time just incase Perhaps take some finger paint or an ink pad as well, because I don't really think any of them are capable of signing anything unless it's a benefit form.

They're nuts, though I love the dedication.
Littleun ( my tiny JR) has just run off in terror!
SANTA!!!!!!!
The people who think it's the real Chawns are hilarious - they all want to know when they're ''coming back on the tele''.
When Simon Cowell gets wed, that's when.
Someone else posted this late last night
That whooshing noise you can hear is the sarcasm going right over Phil's head.
Please dont ask why I want to know this!
Yes, she's called Ruby.

(disclaimer - joke - I don't really condone petty ASBO behaviour..;))

You can watch the Chawners if you have Sky.go.

In short - it's not their fault!
A perfect summary of the plight of the Chawns.
