I agree Trott should have been there but I would have placed her over Storey or Granger or even Hoy.

Hoy became Britain's most successful Olympian. He deserves his nod.

Deserves to win it on what basis? Jack of all trades, master of none.

If she was ugly she wouldn't get a look in. Far more deserving Olympians than Ennis.

I'm loving the recaps of the Olympics and Paralympics. It really was an epic year for sports! Brilliant!

The time she ran in the 100m metre hurdles would have won her the gold in the dedicated event at Beijing.

It's funny how you think excelling at several challenging disciplines over two consecutive days is somehow less of an achievement than sprinting once on one day.

She won the mental game, she won the physical game. She has as much right to be in that lineup as any of the others.

Nice to see the gorgeous Katrina JT there as Jess walked up. I'd like to see her on this show in four years' time...walking up to get an award of her own.

Would have been nice to have seen some proper highlights of the actual best sporting moments of the year, rather than the endless filler and yapping

Totally agree with this. What a year for sport, and what we get is more yapping than sport.

Beijing was four years ago. Get over it.

On a side note, it's a shame none on the Paralympians are getting much of a look in.
