Well we always do enjoy a good comedy show, and they don't come any better then your lot!
Not as funny as the biggest club in the world being behind us in league titles for over 40 years before finally getting one ahead.
Not to mention still attempting to catch up as European Champions:D
All after we gave you the advantage of us being rubbish for 20years (2005 the exception);)

Slight correction there if I may, you correctly have won more European Cups, but we have won more Champions Leagues.
We also have won more Premier League titles, FA Cups, Intercontenental Cups, World Club Championships, so lets not play the, we have won more than you game, okay? As it won't end well for you! (You can keep your more League Cup victories! )
Also, isn't it getting very near 26 years until you last won any form of a League title??? I mean even Blackburn have won one more recently than you have!
Plus we have the most unlikely comback to win a Champions League award sitting very nicely in our museaum, you can come and look at it if you want, also check out the Premier League title, while you are there, as it will be the nearest that you will get to it!
Slight correction there if I may, you correctly have won more European Cups, but we have won more Champions Leagues.
They are the same linear competition.
We also have won more... Intercontenental Cups, World Club Championships,
Intercontinental Cup? Never heard of that one. Didn't Mr Perfect hold that title once? And the World Club Championship is basically a FIFA public relations tour. Does that really count? Sounds like a golf tournament anyway
(You can keep your more League Cup victories! )
Why shouldn't they? If Man Utd get to count the Global World Intercontinental Club Cups then they have every right to.
I mean even Blackburn have won one more recently than you have!
Yes, but it came with a receipt and an extended warranty.
Plus we have the most unlikely comback to win a Champions League award sitting very nicely in our museaum
And lord knows Liverpool have never come back from the brink of almost certain defeat in a Champions League final
you can come and look at it if you want, also check out the Premier League title, while you are there, as it will be the nearest that you will get to it!
And I suppose Liverpool fans could say that the closest Man Utd fans will get to five European Cups is seeing reflections of two of the three in the Old Trafford trophy room.
Well one had a group stage, one didn't, so very different sort of competitions.
Intercontinental Cup? Never heard of that one. Didn't Mr Perfect hold that title once? And the World Club Championship is basically a FIFA public relations tour. Does that really count? Sounds like a golf tournament anyway
Yeah the yeah 1999 against "Big Phil's" team Palmeiras
Also don't put down the strength of the mighty LDU Quito, (that was who we had to beat in the World Club Championship final!
Why shouldn't they? If Man Utd get to count the Global World Intercontinental Club Cups then they have every right to.
Yes, but it came with a receipt and an extended warranty.
Still it is one more than they have lifted (I won't say seen, as they did see it in 1995! )
And lord knows Liverpool have never come back from the brink of almost certain defeat in a Champions League final
Hummm, what is easier, scoring three goals in 45 minutes, or scoring two in a minute???
I will let you think of the answer.
And I suppose Liverpool fans could say that the closest Man Utd fans will get to five European Cups is seeing reflections of two of the three in the Old Trafford trophy room.
They could try that, but it wouldn't really work like that, and anyway, I have already mentioned about the old European Cup, and said congrats on that.
Well one had a group stage, one didn't, so very different sort of competitions.
Different formats yes, but still the same competition, albeit rebranded. Keep in mind that the Champions League itself has gone through different formats. At one time, there were two group stages.
Yeah the yeah 1999 against "Big Phil's" team Palmeiras

Quito? Palmeiras? They sound like tortilla chips.
Still it is one more than they have lifted (I won't say seen, as they did see it in 1995! )
Again the "Premier League" itself is a linear continuation of the old "Division 1 title". It's why Man Utd have 19 titles. So yeah, Blackburn have won more titles under that branding than Liverpool, but have still won far less overall.
Hummm, what is easier, scoring three goals in 45 minutes, or scoring two in a minute???
I will let you think of the answer.
They actually scored 3 goals in six minutes. From a larger deficit of three goals down (Man Utd merely trailed by one goal). They also weathered the 30 remaining minutes of the match, a further 30 minutes of extra time, and had the determination to win a penalty shoot out.
Slight correction there if I may, you correctly have won more European Cups, but we have won more Champions Leagues.

Pity you couldn't keep your hands on the ole big ears you won in '99. That's because it sits in the trophy cabinet at Anfield as a keepsake from Uefa for winning it five times. Funny how the organisation that created the newer format still considers it to be the same competition as the CL.
The PL is the current competition to crown the champions of English league football. We've held that title 18 times.
Never mind, one more ole big ears and your club will have been champions of Europe as many times in it's history, as Phil Neal was in a seven year period as an LFC player.
Two final things.the majority of top teams in Europe would rather win ole big ears 20 or more times in a row than win one or two mickey mouse games to call themselves 'world champions'. The amount of FA cup wins shouldn't be too much to brag about, seeing how that comp and the league cup have diminished in stature. Ever since other league positions thuan first place put you in the CL.
I'll draw a line now before this moves into another borefest arguement.

I must make up for that, although I don't think that I will be able to close the gap on my fellow United fan!
Your thread might as well be about Liverpool, due to you lot always talking about us.
Chelsea 8 Aston Villa 0
Aston Villa 0 Spurs 4
Aston Villa 0 Wigan 3
That defeat to Villa at home is looking worse with every passing week.

True and I happily admit to pouring petrol on the Ickle match that batdude lit in this thread.;)
More important than our past successes at the moment is the need for 3points at Loftus Road this arvo.
Read that Suarez is a doubt with his dodgy ankle but Sterling and Allen are looking like starters again.
I'm happy to take the bait now and again:)
