    Bit of a bummer, went on trip advisor and saw this :o
    Marks gone bust another company now in hotel, at least two months

    Nowadays most hotels should have a kettle in the room for making a hot drink and a few biscuits, so that is where they are going wrong.

    Absolutely. Even the budget chains like Premier Inn and Inkeepers Lodge provide tea & coffee making facilities.

    No, it's the staff attitude that's wrong. Not doing room service is fine if that's the hotel policy. But if that's your policy you explain that politely and give suggestions, NOT put your hand over the mouthpiece and take the piss out of the customer for daring to ask.

    Met "alisons" many times they think they are irreplacable but at best do a very average job normally in admin/back office and have the boss exactly where they want him.
