Been looking around for a bigger, new Tv for the bedroom with built in Freesat HD, and came across this one, so anyone know much about them, as always fancied trying the Panasonics.
Thanks.
Thanks.

EDIT: langrad realised the age of the set too but the OP gives no clue

I realise its a couple of years old now, but it seems a decent set.
Thanks for that, does get a good rating, just not sure wether its worth it, considering its a few years old now.
Cant think Argos have had them in stock all this time , it must be "graded / repaired " product direct from Pana . That said if you want Freesat as opposed to freeview HD then this may be your last chance and it should do you well . Going to be a lot better than that Sony !
Which worries me a bit
Theres also the Samsungs (like the UE40ES6710 Full HD 40" LED 3D TV), but they've all got that Smart Tv/3D rubbish, which im not interested in.
I know Samsungs are ok, as just bought one of those today for the living room, the UE40EH5000, 40" with Freeview HD.
Your old model Pana v modern Samsung will consume much more current but may be easier on the eye to view - you pays your money and all that !
It is an excellent TV but £700 is excessive for a set which was last manufactured 4 years ago. I bought a TXP42G20B three years ago for £630. That was from a dealer (retail, not online), brand new including delivery and 5 year warranty. Panasonic bring out a new range every year and I bought during the regular end of year clearance which is now on. I could have had the 46" for the same price but decided it was too big. You should study the market more before you purchase this one.
If its just for channels, then why not get a Humax box and a 'standard' TV. Would be a lot cheaper, but the downside would be that you would have a box for freesat rather than it being intergrated into the TV.
Sony & LG freesat TVs may be a bargin buy, as both manufacturers appear to have stopped manufacturing.
EDIT: I do like the look of the Sammy though, and its had a decent review here :- http://www.digitalversus.com/tv-television/samsung-ue40es6710-p13749/test.html
Last year argos were selling a tv for £300 more than I'd bought one for a year earlier.
Will probably have a good play about with it later on when ive got more time
