A year ban at least. He will also be a very lucky boy if he doesn`t see the inside of a court.
You simply cannot assault children and be seen to get away with it.
If any of this happens or is even entertained, the world's gone completely mad. A standard suspension for lashing out is all this should ever be, and the kid shouldn't be allowed to blatantly waste time as a ballboy again.
Exactly. The fan in the Cantona case was taunting him, but he still got an 8 month ban. Hazard will be lucky to get too much less. He should be gone for the rest of the season.
He won't get banned for that long, weather Hazard meant to hurt the boy or not he was in the wrong as after all he is only a kid, yes he was time wasting but he didn't deserve that. Sad thing is the incident will partly overshadow Swansea getting to there first major cup final in there history in the papers tomorrow.
Chelsea FC on Twitter: "Has football gone mad? Hazard is sent off for kicking the ball under a ball boy attempting to smother the ball rather than return it."
If that's an official twitter of the club, someone's getting sacked!
Replay shows he clearly kicked the ball boy, not the ball, how can this be defended, seriously??
Easy. Ball boy posted on twitter he intended to time waste if he got hold of the ball. Boy ends up laying on the ball. Player gets frustrated, tries to kick it out, manages to kick the boy in the process. Boy gestures to ref as if to say "Send him off!!" then goes to ground and covers his face acting like he's really hurt.

Whoever is responsible for the Twitter account is just digging a bigger hole for Chelsea, knee jerk reaction like that won't do them any favours.
Sure the ballboy is dicking about, but Hazard clearly kicks him in the ribs. I've watched the replay several times and he definitely catches the lad.
Good luck proving he intended to kick him in the ribs. The ball boy was laying on the ball and his twitter post suggesting he intended to time waste tonight would suggest it was intentional.

Hasn't somebody said the lad is 17 only 2 or 3 years younger than Hazzard.
So he can't deny that's not what he was doing. And he made the most of what happened, even gesturing to the ref as if to say "You have to send him off for that" before going back to laying on his stomach. Silly boy.
Sadly the papers will love it and he will probably get a three match ban.
And why not? Yes the ballboy is a bit of a **** going by his twitter, but Hazard did NOT need to kick him. If Hazard acted with more professionalism and risen above the kid's antics then the ballboy would be the one being labelled as a wrong doer...atleast by eagle eyed football forum types as and the media wouldn't even bother mentioning it.
The ball boy played his part, but Hazard made it a billion times worse.

But hazard didnt try and kick him, lets get that straight
It looked like the ballboy zipped the ball up into his jacket
Again, it doesn't matter. He clearly kicked him in the ribs. If someone reports it the police will get involved. If the ball boy is under 16 (hard to tell to be honest, from the pictures he could be anything from 15 to about 25) then Hazard could go to prison.

It doesn't matter if the boy was wasting time, you can't boot a kid in the ribs while he is laying on the ground.
Jesus, if players were booted in the ribs every time they wasted time or cheated, every game in the premiership would end up with about two players left on the field at full time!

From the other, closer angle it looks like an obvious kick to me.
How true . It dismays me to see the look of pure hate on the fan's faces when an opposing player goes near them forma throw in or corner .

Hazard should be in a whole lot of trouble over this and rightly so.

^ tomorrows headlines from the DM (and you half believe it will be, don't you?)

Correct.
lets all calm down, including CFC.
both have points but it should be left as is, fault on both sides.
I dont think he tried to kick the 17yr old though.

For winning fair and square?
Not their fault if an employee decides to act like a total idiot and fall on the ball.
Yeah I hate seeing that, the mouthed swearing and the hand gestures - terrible example theyre setting to there kids,

All ball boys timewaste when instructed too.
Hazard was a fool and it could cost him the rest if the season and alot of money
