Last week, Back To Basics began and the Top 12 acts sang live for your votes and it was anything goes for the acts. Whilst some got off a great start, others didn't quite get off the mark. But for one act, the first show was to be the last and Craig Colton found that out the hard way as he was sent home by the public. Tonight, we're going back to the 90's so expect some burgers and cheese to be at the ready as we prepare for the upcoming performances.
Fighting for your votes are:
pingu58011 & The Boys
Joe McElderry
Aiden Grimshaw
Kuda_Kunaka & The Girls
Alexandra Burke
TreyC Cohen
Leona Lewis
jackamakka & The Overs
Ruth Lorenzo
Olly Murs
Kye Sones
bboy1988 & The Groups
4Tune
Little Mix
MK1
Good evening folks and welcome to where your Sunday night starts right here!
So before we begin, let's hope we have a panel at the ready, judges confirm your presence.

Kicking off tonight's show is the Overs and never forget where this guy started from, it's Olly Murs!

Note: Obviously this would be shorter but for some reason I can't find any covers of this anywhere.
Olly well done on getting through last weeks show. Olly I am gonna be completely honest with you tonight and say I really wasn’t a big fan of that performance tonight. To me it looks as though your mentor has really struggled with you this week and has tried to choose a safe song but tonight I just didn’t like it sorry. If you make it though this week your mentor is gonna have to put a lot of effort into your song choice to enable you to stay in the competition.
Olly Murs
I'll try my best to stay positive here.. it was nice to hear a good old trumpet song in a pop song that I hadn't heard in a while. But Im not gonna lie, the start of that was bafflingly wrong.. and you remind me of a little Robbie Williams so the song choice was on the edge of predictable for me. by the end, you had gain a bit more strength but I worry 'is it enough for you tonight?'

Olly Murs
Olly, we wanted to try something more upbeat this week and I think we did just that. I’m happy with that performance but I think we may have chosen the wrong song for you this week. Sorry if I let you down Olly but I hope the public save you.
Now next is the first of the groups and they're not alone...but they are together on this stage, it's MK1!

Guy that was spectacular. When the theme was initially announced I almost had a heart attack as I thought you guys would have been essentially up the creak without a paddle, but then I remembered this track and that it’s an interpolation of Olives 90’s hit. I am sure you can imagine the relief when Steve said that this song slotted into the them and gave his nod of approval for it to be used. I thought you guys sounded amazing tonight and I am having such a fun time working with you and I hope that the public can see that and will shower you with their love by voting for you.
MK1
WOW! You surprised again this week as that was yet another FANTASTIC performance! Guys, I think you could go very, very far in this competition. However, this means that you need to keep up this caliber of performance for the coming weeks and all I worry is that you might have peaked too early. Nevertheless, you have had amazing feedback so far in the competition and I hope for your sake that this continues into the future.

MK1
That was...absolutely fan.tastic.. that song is hugely underrated and I think you just brought it to life after that. I expected this theme to be difficult for you two but no no, you came out even stronger than last week when the them was 'free choice'. keep going guys, keep going
Now for the first of the girls, she won't let go...of this cover, it's TreyC Cohen!

I am not sure but Olly's song choice was strange tonight
Treyc Cohen
Treyc, that was another beautiful performance from you. I said last week that you might be getting lost in between Alex and Leona but I think you showed that you can stay strong in the competition as shown by you not being in the sing-off last week when Leona was. That song choice suited your voice perfectly and you got your chance to shine. You’ve really proved yourself Treyc and I hope the public keep you in the competition.

Treyc
Do not judge a book by its cover, who would've thought that big voice would come out of you tonight? It's only week two for goodness sake, and you just showed soooooo much control in your voice and so much passion, you're aching to be a star and i know this stage is yours!
Treyc look I have to be totally honest with you and say that I was really disappointed with that performance. First and foremost if you’re gonna sing a song that my little muffins have already sang I would suggest that you do something totally different with it as it just sounded mediocre compared to my girls version. Sorry
Now for the first of the two boys and he hopes you can tolerate this, it's Aiden Grimshaw!

Note: Imagine in a bit of a deeper voice
Aiden this was so much better than last weeks performance. Your mentor appears to have listened very carefully to the criticism that I gave to you and has chosen a song much more stylistically suited to you. In my opinion we will be seeing you again next show. Well done tonight Aiden.
Aiden Grimshaw
Aiden, your voice just blows me away every single time I hear you sing. You show so much emotion in every performance and it really feels like you are connecting with all of your performances. I just want to give you a word of warning and say to make sure that all your performances don’t end up being very similar as it can sometimes happen when a performer has identified with a specific style but I hope that you continue to perform to that high standard throughout the competition.

Aiden
Aiden, who says you can only do rock on rock week? Props to your mentor for taking this risk and I think you presented the song in a very good way. I'm not sure if I totally loved it, i hope that'll be enough to take you through.
Olly
Olly, I thought you opened the show very well. It was a million times better thanl last week. It certainly wasn`t the best performance I have ever seen, but the vocals were good and you really put your soul into the performance which showed you want to be here, and in less the others are all AMAZING, you are safe tonight!!
MK1
MK1, that was incredible. It was upbeat, fun and you made me just want to get on the dance floor. Charlie the vocals were just on fire tonight and Simeon the rapping was superb. I think that has to earn you a place next week!!
TreyC
TreyC, last week I was the odd one out who didn`t like your performance. This week I think there may be some other judges who think that it just seemed repetitive and didnt go anywhere. At the start I was thinking this is going to be good, but then it was just the same thing all the way through. The end was just you shouting. I didn`t like that performance at all. I think you are really in trouble tonight TreyC!!
Aiden
Aiden...Aiden...Aiden!! That was phenomanal. It was completely the opposite I think of what everyone was expecting. I took a risk, and I think it definitely payed off. The vocals were just WOW!! I hope to god you are safe tonight, because you deserve to be here next week.
Back to the overs and let's get loud with none other than our Spanish Senorita, Ruth Lorenzo!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YGoabAyMwDQ
Ruth, my beautiful, that was just fantastic. You had the move, the groove and the vocals. Everything about that performance was good. You were showing something completely different to last week, which I think is the amazing thing about you. You have such a different range to what you can do, and I think you will walk it through to next week!!
Ruth Lorenzo
Ruth baby! Last week we saw your powerful side and tonight we saw your Latin side. I bet if J-Lo saw that she’d be jealous of you. I wanted to explore something different from what we’ve seen you do before and I saw this and just thought, that’s Ruth! I really hope you’re here next week so we can explore another side of you. It was a risk tonight but hopefully it pulled off.
Kuda's comment
Ruth
I think that was an okay performance. However something does not sit right with me. The song is kinda latin-pop, and i get that, and the person covering it does not have a latin-pop song.. which leaves me itching as to why your mentor didn't go for the original by Jennifer Lopez as that would've been perfect for you. it was a fun performance however, to say the least.
Hmmmm ruth I am not sure if I liked that from you tonight. This is not the direction I have been hoping that your mentor would have taken you in. I can see why your mentor chose the song as it does play on your Spanish background but for me you could have had a great night if you had sang something with a lot of power and a rock edge.
Off to the groups again and we have a special 90's melody by the fabulous muffins, it can only be Little Mix!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7m_i_5DK-o
Girls this week I really struggled with what direction to take you in this week as I was really hoping that the theme would have allowed me to give you a really fun edgy cool performance. When I was looking for what song to give you girls I came across this medley, and I thought it was perfect for you girls. It allowed you girls to showcase your amazing solo vocals, it allowed the spectacular harmonies to shine bright and again we were able to hear Jessy beatbox for Leigh-Anne to rap. Girls all I can say is I really hope the public will continue to vote for you and allow you to continue in the competition.
Little Mix, you little cuties. That was just a giant ball of greatness. The vocals were nice and sweet, and the harmonies were just beautiful. Leigh-anne, I loved your rapping and Jesy I loved your beatboxing. There was so many different songs in there that it let us appreciate the 90`s. Girl`s you`ve really put a smile on my face!!
Little Mix
Girls, I gave you some serious stick last week but tonight that was exactly wanted to see from you! Such an ingenious idea from your mentor to perform a medley of various songs and you pulled it off amazingly. You showed off all your levels: singing, beatboxing and rapping. Bravo ladies, I’m really impressed tonight and I’m so glad you brought it to this level tonight! I really want to see what you bring next round!

Little Mix
Wow, I was captivated and entertained from the first note to the last. i counted once when the harmony was out of time in the whole performance and i think that's phenomenal. Im really impressed this week, you really stood out for me.
