    Betfair....PaddyPower....William Hill....Ladbrokes....PartyPoker.....888.....Casino365...BetVictor....etc...

Back in the day, gambling establishments were found in quiet corners of city centres, filled with old soaks and cigarette fumes

Now, they are all over TV

Along with payday loans, debt restructuring and cash for gold ads, they are a sign of Britain's sad decline.

Don't forget Bingo ads - they're getting more and more airtime. So many different companies, the latest one i saw was ''Lucky Pants" Bingo.

Half the ads trying to get idiots to gamble their money away, and the other half trying to lend them more money at a stupid rate of interest.

I repeat, where... are... the... ASA? Asleep on the job that's where.

The guy on a bus saying in his head "lottery ticket or home" repeatedly, then a cheeery guys voice says "Unfortunately Barry chose home.......and his numbers came up!..but fortunately it didnt matter as he had done his lottery online!", so why was it unfortunate he went home in the first place? maybe i think too deep.

Also the Tena lady ones, peeing yourself whenever you sneeze or laugh and smelling like a urinal and having to wear pads the size of a tiny persons duvet < you cant make it funny no matter how you try :(.

ALL the Bingo Ads, ALL the loan ads, especially that **** in a tash pretending he is in the Army and all the women fancy him as he says keep calm and log,on, keep calm and **** off!

I haven't been through this thread, so apologies if it's already come up, but the "Grant's Whisky Sponsors TV Of Character On ITV4" takes us to a new nadir.

Here's a sample (These are some of the better ones !): http://vimeo.com/56294194

There are seemingly scores of the things, with the choicest morsel featuring the mother-in-law haranguing her daughter-in-law in a London accent incredible beyond belief - I'll try and reproduce it phonetically for you:

"Mine mel ! Mine mel ! Car mon Jessicahhhh! Shar de boyz arr itz dun an' iz inn da bairggg !

There's another one where the trés punchable son of the family uses the phrase "Steady on, dad; it's not the Cup Final ! "(Da-boom, tish !) and clearly is hearing the phrase "The Cup Final" for the first time in his life, but "Mind mel ! Mind mel ! " is by far the tastiest dainty on offer.

All this turns the innocent watching of "Cheers" repeats into a light entertainment version of "Ringu".

The woman's voice is far more annoying in my opinion.

I expect it's been mentioned already, but the one that always makes me see red is for some kind of Alpen snack bar. The husband is rooting through the kitchen looking for food and he spots one of these snack bar thingys and picks it up, then his wife walks past and swipes it off of him while he just drools behind her.

Leaving aside the fact that the guy is too dim to realise that there is probably more than one of these things in the box, it annoys me because I wouldn't dream of snatching food from my husband like that, and he would almost certainly get a knee in the nads in the unlikely event of him trying to snatch food off of me. I wouldn't even let my kids behave like that. On what planet is this supposed to give their manky overpriced product some appeal?!

Don't know if it's been mentioned- but the lastest series of Go Compare adverts. Particularly the one where the guy kicks a football at him. I know they're meant to be silly (people find him annoying) but I find them unpleasant- why are adverts encouraging nasty behaviour? :(

I hate that one too - I just add it to the pile with the Ray "Cockney-Geezer" Winstone betting ads.

I hate that new IKEA ad with a passion. It's got media studies written all over it.

Is that the Butlin's one? If so that's one I was going to say, aarrrgghh, it drives me mad.

I hate the way all the bingo ads make it seem as though you'll have loads of fun with loads of friends if you join in when in fact you'll be sitting at home alone in front of a computer!

Any ad using skimpily clad females to sell the product!

I may have asked this before but do these people who do these stupid ads, I am thinking Foxy Bingo especially, have normal jobs inbetween stupid ads or do they sit there by the phone waiting for their agents to phone them saying they have got some Hollywood producer asking for them after seeing them on said stupid advert

Have just seen a very cringeworthy Oxfam ad with Esther telling us about Jodie and her family

LV - I have never hated the number 75 more in my life but thanks to this advert I hate anything that mentions the number 75. Also, change the music FFS, I'm sick of hearing 'dum diddy dum' every 10 minutes!
Oh yeah, you can't have an '=' on a number plate meaning they're illegal and those cars have broken the law!

Most ads rarely bother me but when theyre repeated all the time I start to get so sick of them it ends up having the opposite effect - I dont buy their products/services cos their adverts annoy the hell out of me.

One thats getting on my paps at the moment is the Victoria Plumb ad with that bird who 'searched around for inspiration & bought from Victoria Plumb' get her off my screens.
