What could this be?

For about a week now I have had what I thought was a cold however I am no doubting it is a bog standard cold.

In myself I am for the most part okay, little weak but generally fine. However my nose is running with thick snot (excuse the image), my nose is blocked for sure but when it runs it comes out in long strings...honestly it is like a magician pulling things out of his hat...never ending I keep pulling and pulling and pulling and finally I get to the end...10 mins later I am back again trying to rid of this snot.

I'm really anti-doctors for these things but it has been a week any ideas what I may have?

    My nose gets like that when i have a cold too. Do you get an achy pain anywhere around your nose or under your eyes?

    A little pain just at side of nose on cheeks, under my eyes.

    Could be the start of a sinus infection. If you don't like doctors, get yourself a salt water nasal spray from the chemist, use it how ever many times it says on the can and see how you go, should clear it right up! :)

    Sounds like sinusitis, either see a doc and get antibiotics or ride it out.
