Any other teetotallers on here?

I have been teetotal for a while now, anyone else on here?

I am not teetotal for any religious or moral reason and I am not an ex-alcoholic.

    Me.

I drink next-to-nothing of alcohol, and this has been for years.

I've never really liked it; it just tastes nasty and bitter. I'd rather a soft drink or water or a cup of tea :o

I'm quite easy in my own skin too, and love going out with people without needing a drink to help me relax or anything.

Count me in. No reason other than I'm just not interested in it.

Me...........haven't had an alcoholic drink for a few years

Like the OP I've got no philosophical or moral objection............I just never go out these days and gave up 'home drinking' when i realised I was just getting drunk for the sake of it............

Don't drink? How are people meant to watch programmes like The X Factor without a drink?

    Madness!

I've seen the damage done because of alcohol when I was younger, and it put me off alcohol for life. That and I don't like the taste of alcohol.

You don't like that warm fuzzy feeling slowly going down your body?

I agree, if X Factor was on a Monday night their ratings would be worse than Channel 5!

I do not watch X Factor. Sober or in any state of intoxication the show is still shit.

My Dad was a violent abusive alcoholic as are other members of my family.

Seeing some of the things I have put me off and I figured if I never have a drink I can never get addicted

Even my 5 year old niece likes a sip of beer from her dads bottle. How did you avoid it?

Maybe your Dad was just a violent and abusive person, there is no reason you should be the same. Hugs to you x

How many people here are drinking raw alcohol?

It's like saying I licked a cow, didn't like the taste so I don't eat beef.

I just find the less alcohol there is in something, the nicer it is.

I will very oocasionally (about once a year) have some chilled wine like lambrusco or something, which is about 10%.
Any stronger and I just think it tastes revolting.

Tried it when I was young, didn't like the taste haven't had any since! Well might have a glass of champagne at a wedding but that's about it!

Constantly have to put up with the sheer amazement and confusion of people when I say I don't drink! Then having to explain I'm not some reformed alcoholic or doing it for religious reasons either gets a bit tiring!
