Who was the better wrestler, Bret Hart or Owen Hart?
Would be curious to know what others think. When I was 4 years old in 1993 right up untill he died Owen was always my favorite (always loved the heels) And I still believe Owen to be the better wrestler whilst Bret was the better overall package.
He nearly did that back in 2006/07. His reign was at 380 days when he had to vacate the title due to injury. I wonder how much longer his reign would have lasted otherwise?
What PPV was it when it was John Cena vs Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship and just before the match a platform moved down from the rafters and i remember watching it and thinking wtf is going on here? Then John Cena walked out onto the platform (while Edge was stood in the ring) then he ran off the edge of the platform landing on Edge and taking him down.

brets my favourite wrestler of all time but i actually think hes a bit harsh on hhh, think hes had alot of great matches personally. maybe alot of them are gimmick matches sure but i like him.
I wonder if Brodus and Tensai are gonna be the next big tag team. I know the segment with them two at Raw Roulette was shocking but at least they are doing something with Tensai. Can you believe that Tensai prancing around in lingerie may have resurrected his career in the wwe?!? Cross Dressing Hip Hop Hippo's.
Bret is one of my favourites of all time in-ring, but damn he comes out with some absolute b*llocks these days! Trips v Taker HIAC 3/10?!? Whatever you say, Hitman! And fair enough if you don't like the guy, but to say Triple H has never had a great match is ludicrous!

I'm sure Tensai would much rather be on tv regularly working as a comedy character than just kicking his heels backstage, only getting tv time once or twice a month and losing most of the time (like he has been for the last 6 months).
Who's the prat who lashed out at me for saying I like psychology in matches? Bret sums it up pretty well here.
I think that was me. You know what, i was wrong there. People like what they like, i was just saying what i like in matches, and if psychology is what you enjoy about wrestling, then thats cool. So yes, my apology on that.

^ This is why I like AJ, even though we disagree a bit. He can admit when he's wrong. Top man!

Got comedy tag team written all over them as opposed to monster heel tag team which they should be.
Not entirely shocked by that Bret Hart interview, common knowledge that HHH is not an amazing wrestler and very predictable. But he's got a good brain and says the right things to the right people. Story of business and life most of the time I'm afraid

Didn't he have a reasonably successful career in Japan up until he rejoined WWE?
I think HHH is one of the all-time great in-ring psychologists. Big fan of him, and people are only really critical because of his backstage influence.

I'm not too sure, you can't really disagree that HHH is brilliant at telling a story in the ring, but for one reason or another I've never been able to be a fan of his. There's just something really dislikeable about the guy and he's never had a great WRESTLING match, in that sense I agree with Bret, but on the other hand he's really good with stipulation matches.

I have to say I completely agree with Bret Hart on this. What match can you really point to and say wow, Triple H had a great, legendary match?
Yes he has been involved in lots of memorable spectacles involving cages, cells, sledgehammers and other gimmicks...but when has he just had a great wrestling match?
I seriously can't think of any - whereas Bret, Shawn, Austin, Taker et al all have so many to their name.
Triple H ultimately will always be a Hall of Famer, remembered for gimmicks, DX, Sledgehammers, politicking, marrying the bosses' daughter and eventaking over the company - but he was truly never one of the all time greats based on wrestling ability.

Shelved for the time being I reckon (which is a great decision by the E).

Agreed! The Funkasaurus gimmick has got old really quickly for Brodus so its time to switch things around a bit I reckon.

Agreed.
Owen every time.
As much as I loved Bret, Owen was superior to him in nearly every other way.
