Fabulous martial arts-fest sees a small band of policemen trapped in a high rise populated by a sadistic gang of drug pushers. They have to fight their way out and complete mayhem ensues. The fight scenes were some of the most mind blowing I've seen, just hugely impressive. Marvellous!
Loved it. Mega City one was not as I remember it from the comic books but that was not a problem. Simple story, great realisation of the characters and lots of violence. Such a shame this never got the audience it deserved as a sequel would have been great to see.
The hunger games. It was one of them films where I had to stop myself from being annoyed at how different it was to the book. Like for instance why did they have to add all that stuff about snow and the game keeper when it wasn't even in the book like use that time to put what actually happened in the book omg
La Délicatesse (Delicacy) 6/10 - It's about a woman who is widowed finding someone new (in French with English subtitles on Lovefilms)
I thought it was ok but nothing else.
Although it did rankle me a bit that it's another film about a beautiful woman who gets with a plain man. One day, I hope a director has the guts to do a film about a plain woman who ends up with a good looking and kind man.
I'm also not one for romantic films so I'm bound to have a moan about it

Watched it last night, 7.5/10 for me. I guess I missed the wise cracks and humour from Stallone and Bullock.
I know this was a very different take and meant to be more like the comic book story. I have seen much worse movies. The guy who played Dredd must have had face ache from all that frowning

Thought this was going to be a run of the mill horror...but I enjoyed the turn it took.

Why was you frowning throughout the film then :mad:
5/10
Company executives lose their jobs in the economic downturn and have to give up their mansions, golf club memberships, etc. Tough shit.
8/10
Not the greatest Harry Potter film but still good.
1st half extremely dull, then picks up a bit. Day Lewis though, brilliant again. In a league of his own if you ask me.
7/10
Sorry, I was disturbed by JGL's face

All the best lines are stolen from much better movies.

Awwwww! I love Paul.
But then Simon Pegg can do no wrong for me.
Very dated but amusing seeing how much things have changed. Jolie looks like a Vulcan in it.
