Perrie never seems to do quicker tempo singing does she? I think it does hurt when Jesy isnt in because she is the alto, is that the right word? Although I am surprised Jade wasnt drafted in because she seems to be a good swing singer (can do a lot).
Shocker, shocker! Guess who's doing Jesy's rapping part in Superbass!
UK itunes: #19 and #120 / #17 combined
Ireland itunes: #21 and 103 / #16 combined
Oh I didn't take the 2nd version into account . It's a bit strange the 2nd version is climbing faster than the top version though, it's usually the other way round, but I guess this proves that the song does help the album sells as you can only cherry pick the song from the album and the 2nd version climbing up the chart shows people are clicking on the deluxe album link.
Well you go Perrie! I thought Jade would have been the natural replacement for the rapping - she did do the first lines - so I'm pleasantly surprised to see Perrie did pretty good on that.
I'm assuming Perrie isn't confident with knowing all of the lyrics in CYL? But she is in TYF so she chose to do Jesy's part in that song? Idk I'm just assuming they didn't have much time to prepare for the loss of Jesy so whoever knows her parts best gets to sing them.
Hmm I don't think that's the case, I would've thought all of them know all the lyrics of all the songs even if it's someone else's solo parts. I mean, if a fan can remember all the lyrics there's no way that they can't. Besides, they were involved in the writing process so they had probably memorised all the words before the album was even released.
I assume Perrie's covering most of Jesy's parts because her tone is the closest to Jesy's so that makes sense. But I'll never understand the CYL arrangement it just seems so strange.

I think it's likely that she did Jesy's rapping in Red Planet too.
I guess in studio Jade did her own harmonies... L.A stopped doing after the second leg of the tour. To be honest Perrie shud harmonise just to give her a little more to do in that song lol...
How are you supposed to harmonize by yourself ? To create a harmony you need to be at least 2.

You can record your lines first as a backing track then sing in a slightly different key to that backing track you recorded. A lot of soloists do this and I think even LM have done it on some songs from their album.
I already posted on it last night but their is more comments now so tempted to go and post the live lounge peformances and the acoustic performances to show that they can sing and were not "awful" and "dire"
That's useless. Harmony is with 2 different voices.
Until our resident singer comes online, I thought harmony was the arrangement of pitches. You can have 2, 3 part and 4 part harmony most commonly in popular songs.

I don't think there is an EP being released so technically it's already been released.
I think the song is meant to promote the album. So maybe that's why they having people download it from the album, so they can look at it. Whereas for the EP they will just get it straight there without looking at the album.

Perrie sounds so good doing it!!
Thank you:)

OMG I actually thought : where does that come from ? Perrie ? Really ? Good job !

She probably recorded her bit and then recorded herself again over it.

Solo artists do it all the time now. The tracks are just stacked on top of each other. Unemployment for backing singers, I guess.
Upon replaying Perrie's rapping, it sounds like she's impersonating Jesy, down to the accent.
Ha I noticed that too! I thought it didn't sound like "Perrie" and then finally realised she didn't change the accent!
You don't honestly think that they can generate that gospel part in DNA just by 4 voices do you

No. There is a sound effect on that one.
That's a really bad article. Why is it so short anyway ?
