Had a box of mealworms delivered last week for the wild birds - I won't be 'borrowing' any for tomorrow's dinner.

Actually, factory produced burgers do have an allowed amount of insect matter per kilo..

Quince Jelly - good tip there !! wonder where they sell it?

The gravy looked good, but I've never seen that quince jelly on sale anywhere.

What to choose? what to choose?
Not exactly Daddy or Chips is it.

    Am liking this new F&D.
Then again I'm partial to a bit of Michel Roux (senior and junior) and Tom Kerridge.
    Nom Nom Nom.

Most professional chefs recommend that home cooks buy ready made puff pastry and to be fair, it's the easy option.

Not strictly veggie as he's using Parmesan cheese (which is made with animal rennet), but you can get veggie "Parmesan-style" cheese that tastes exactly the same.

I think I'm going to give it a go - it looks really nice!

    Also great show!

That was good. Just the right amount of time I felt and Michel is a good natural presenter. Enjoyable little programme.

Quince jelly can be found in Waitrose (of course) and quite often in farmer's markets. I make my own as all it is is quinces and sugar and maybe lemon juice which I can get in London.

Is this going to a be a thing like Delia used to be? Whichever ingredient MRJ champions each week immediately sells out. 'QUINCE SHORTAGE HITS BRITAIN!'

Didn't grab my attention at all. It was all too sanitised.
Nothing new to see. The 'inserts' as they called them have been covered many times before.

The only new tip I saw was using quince paste. Not seen that around here though.

Maybe I just watch too many food programmes :/

Also didn't like the wine expert. For some reason she reminded me of Sara Cox. I was thinking for the next recommendations she'd come out with Bacardi Breezer Orange followed by a jug of Woo Woo.

I used to teach Kate back in the day.
Lovely young lady. This is the first thing she has ever done on TV and she was really nervous.

Really easy watching thats inviting. The programme should be on a sunday morning as the perfect replacement to Something for the weekend.

Finally home from work and plucked this off the old Sky+!

Absolutely fantastic return for this old favourite and it's been brought bang up-to date. MRJ and Kate Goodman were brilliant as well as Tom Kerridge and Stefan Gates providing great insights and thoughts.

Already looking forward to next week with the wonderful Mary Berry :D
