Oh Michael was lovely, apart from nearly dropping Nat in the final lift :eek:
You could hear the gasps around Wembley when that happened  Luckily it went smoothly in the end
I agree about the comedy. I enjoyed it but there seemed to be one sex innuendo after another, after another, after another..
I did laugh when Fern told the story about her daughter's birthday though, she actually seemed to make it come across as almost true at the start until she brought on the tears!
Over by 9:45. I wasn't fussed about not seeing Denise, but it did make the show feel a little unbalanced with too much comedy and only Dani & Louis producing really good dances.
aw, I thought Michael and Natalies AS was a great dance too
Glad that Michael is soldiering on like a trouper even though his health is precarious. Sounds like all of you posting on here had a great time even though michaels health was frail.
For next year as I mentioned before they need these three things:
1) To have an extra couple.
2) Release a tour DVD.
3) Four judges instead of three.
Please showrunners Glenn and Andrea could you listen to those requests.
Please showrunners Glenn and Andrea could you listen to those requests.
I agree with your first two points - oh, and I'm fairly sure that Glenn and Andrea are nothing to do with the tour. It's pretty much Craig's tour, hence why it's barely mentioned on ITT, etc.
But stig of the trump they are the executive producers, it has been them giving Louis dances that suit him and will promote the audience to vote him more.
The people in charge of the tour should stop having their 'we are here to make money' attitude and consider us more. They probably have made a load of money by Louis winning most of the tours.
It needs to change for next year as in my eyes the SCD should be about equal opportunities to win tour events. Also they need show runners who aren't entrepreneurs either as I believe over rich producers ruin shows.

Yes, but they are nothing to do with the tour. No offence meant, but you seem really cynical about things. Of course they have made money by people voting for Louis - they've made money by people voting for everybody. If Craig had his way (it's his tour, after all), then Lisa would probably win all of the dates, and she doesn't. It's not fixed. They don't ruin shows because they are greedy for money, etc etc. Just... lighten up. It's just a show, after all.
(also, sorry to be pedantic, but it'd be nice if you got my username correct. It's only four words. )

& the "best jive ever" & the "best charleston ever" don't suit Denise???? Sorry but you're talking rubbish.

Sorry but I have to ask, why does Louis winning lots of shows make them money in a way that Denise/ Dani/ Lisa/ Michael/ whoever wouldn't? Don't people pay exactly the same amount of money regardless of who wins?
Also, how is it a better show for the audience if Louis is instead given dances that don't suit him or play to his strengths? Surely the best way to give the audience a good show is to give every contestant dances that suit them and will entertain the audience? And so far as I can tell, this is what they've tried to do:
- Louis, Denise and Dani are all performing at least one dance they repeated in the final. It could be argued that Denise had first pick of the dances as she's doing both dances she reprised in the final while, possibly to avoid reptition, both Dani and Louis are doing one dance they performed in the final and a second that was well-received earlier on in the competition
- Michael has the dance he closed the show with at Wembley as well as his best Latin.
- Lisa has her cha cha cha, arguably the most memorable of her Latin dances.
I'm afraid I've forgotten what Phil and Fearne had but it does look to me as though whoever picked the dances has tried to give each dancer something that suited them while making sure there would be a decent range of dances overall. They have all been given dances that they performed well (or entertainingly badly) the first time round and that seem to have been well received by the public. I'm afraid I don't see how this shows that they chose the dances in that way in order to promote Louis to win the tour, nor do I see how this shows that they placed earning money above putting together a good show. Would it make it a better show for the general public if Louis had two dances that he was ok at but that the general public didn't like as much? Because I don't honestly see how that makes any sense.
I love the idea that the wins are doled out equally between the contestants but realistically this has never happened. Somebody always ends up winning more shows than everybody else. I think the closest was Mark/ Austin and I'm pretty sure even that year those two pretty much swept the board and nobody else got a look in.
ETA: Thank you to all the people giving tour updates! I've not ended up going this year so it's been brilliant reading about everyone else's experiences.

It's because I'm posting from an iPod which I'm using as an iPhone and they correct you with spellings. It would be different if I was doing it from a lappy as they don't challenge ya. I am starting to wonder with whether I am that suited to DS forums or not or with whether I would be better off on another site with people with learning disabilities such as myself. I was on another forum and it didn't work out for me. I don't want history to repeat itself on this.
If that's aimed at me I was just pointing out that the dances Denise & James are doing on the tour aren't ones that they'd struggle with!
Okay, sorry but of all the replies you have on this thread & you choose to bring that up now
It wasn't aimed at anybody - it was a genuine questions as to why Denise is apparently not doing a ballroom dance, which is what other contestants appear to be doing along with latin
I do understand that you have, in your own words, learning disabilities, and I have refrained so far from posting here as I am for ever defending Louis against his detractors, but I thought I'd just say that:-
(a) I have e-mailed and written to the B.B.C. on numerous occasions relating to many matters and have yet to receive a pertinent reply. The most I have ever received is a general acknowledgement of my communication, to which I cannot reply as the Beeb clearly does not wish to enter into any correspondence. In my experience, communicating with it is a one-way system and therefore infuriatingly pointless. It does precisely as it wishes, irrespective of licence fee payers' wishes/suggestions. Listen to Feedback on Radio 4 and you'll find many similarly frustrated listeners.
(b) We all have views on SCD and the Tour, plus of course the performers, and this forum allows us to express them freely and exchange these opinions. However, all our various views our merely subjective, not fact, and I think that it is in this area that you are becoming unhappy. Some people will agree with you on some points; most will not. This is simply because we are all different with our own 'favourites' and our own objects of dislike, and hardly anyone is going to be persuaded suddenly to admire somebody he/she has previously disliked.
(c) Discussion and debate are wonderful pastimes, which is why I enjoy D.S. However, it is the actual exchanging of ideas, preferably with humour, that I find so intriguing and stimulating, and once that becomes an unhappy experience it is time to question the prudence of continuing posting in (or even just reading) D.S. forums. There is so much to be gained by interacting with other intelligent people if we do not take the whole matter too seriously and remember that everyone is entitled to a view, however much we may disagree with it, and that even the most erudite of folks may hold uneducated opinions.
I hope that you decide to continue posting, but only you can know whether you would be happier with or without D.S.

But to be honest, it was the group dances I enjoyed the most.
The band were also very good.
Even with good seats the individual dances were so so, aimed at the audience opposite the stage and not much for the seats on the side.
Film premiere.

That hasn't been the rule on tour for a while now, I'm pretty sure hardly anyone last year did ballroom...
Agree with you there, a good view, but very frequently of the dancers backs.
