There is a part in the game where it tells you on screen to craft a torque bar. I think it's after you collect your first piece on tungsten when you get to the Aft section of the Crozier.
By the time I got to chapter 7, my ammo count increased a lot . Unfortunately most of it was gone by the time I started chapter 9 .
I really want to buy this but after DS2 I'm not sure I'd see it thru to the end, possibly a waste of money. But I do like the jumpy nature of these games, great for playing in the dark with the headphones on, I really wanna experience it again.
Very limited materials in this game, but for a few ms points you can buy materials from the market place Im beginning to hate ea.
EA need to be played, people shouldn't buy these games until the price drops to £20 then use the cash saved to buy the DLC, never going to happen tho, so EA can't lose.
EDIT - actually, thinking about what I've just said, I won't buy this now, but take my own advice !
Probably won't finish the game anyway so not worth full price.
Another scary game diluted into an action shooter. The original was fantastic, oozing atmosphere and tension. DS2 was less scary, and now we have DS3, nothing but a gory shooter with a sci-fi theme. Shame.
Didn't play much as I was hungover or out most of the weekend. It's not that bad. I had my concerns but it's better than I thought. Still not a patch on the original. The co-op thing I'd heard about was a bit misleading (or misunderstood) as Carver is nowhere to be seen, thankfully.
Will have a go on co-op mode after playthrough 1 before I start New Game +.
On chapter 4 or 5 at the minute. On an optional mission in the flotilla graveyard. Crafted a nice combo, SMG on top with Plasma Cutter underneath. Keep pressing RB to switch to vertical fire though. Doh! Too many hours of one weaponing in DS1 & 2.
And wearing my shiny N7 suit from my ME3 save with a couple of upgrades.
Few hours into this and enjoying it so far, not as engaging as the first couple of hours in the previous two though.
Wasn't a huge fan of the generic dystopian future city setting that Issac first starts out in, and combined with the constant red hue and office combat it felt kind of like Mass Effect.
Hoping to see some new and interesting enemies as I get through this as so far it just seems to be the normal bullet fodder from the first two.
Finally completed this. It's certainly harder than Dead Space 2 on Zealot difficulty. I have attempted a Hardcore playthrough of DS2 a couple of times (it's my only missing Trophy), however I won't be going for the Dead Space 3 Platinum. I got trapped a couple of times by the regenerating necromorphs and when that happened, I couldn't escape and I either ran out of stasis or ammo which was then followed by a grisly death.
Anyway, I enjoyed it a lot and I'm looking forward to the DLC in a few weeks (and a couple more replays). Hopefully this will continue Lexine's story and not Isaac's.
I did notice that much of the environment was static. In Dead Space 2, piety much anything on a table/shelf could be grabbed with stasis and used as a weapon, but this was not the case in DS3. Also most environmental items that could be picked up were useless as weapons as they just bounded off the necromorphs.
I had a crap load of materials by the end (I only crafted 3 weapons) but having played DS1, 2 and Extraction, I knew immediately what the most effective weapon would be and I was able to craft it in Chapter 4.
I've gone back for another DS2 Zealot difficulty playthrough. Will return to do the other DS3 modes after I've finished Revengeance and GOW: Ascension.
I know this is a long shot but I've gotten 100% in the main story including co-op but I'm missing he revive your partner 10 times cheevo.
Is there anyone out there who also needs it? And I could help you with it and would also be willing to help you in the co-op missions aswell as a thanks.
If you still need it I will be playing tonight after 7pm. Load up chapter 5 and send me an invite (may take a minute or 2 for me to get to a point I can save and quit) - will take about 5 minutes to sort you out.

I didn't see an option to make the torque bars?
