The very latest Paul Whitehouse Aviva advert - it is a barrel-scraping advert set in an Italian restaurant and the stereotyping is so bad it verges on being offensive.
he sounds more like theo from dragons den than an italian, its a terrible advert
and finally that Injurylawayers with Roy Castle .... STV still plays it and in the ad it says APPLIES TO ENGLAND AND WALES only (whats the point of putting it on in SCOTLAND?? - beats the purpose you stay in Scotland and can't apply! idiots)
He did well to get that gig though, considering he's been dead for nearly 20 years. Now that's dedication!

That reminded me, who remembers that one where they took old footage of Bob Winehouse and made it look like he was narrating an ad about his own death! not really a fan but bad taste much.

Lol:D sorry, I got a kindle for Christmas and it has a habit of making up entire sentences of its own with the predictive text! took my eye off the ball there, of course I meant Monkhouse.:D
£46 million paid to good causes in the past year - makes me grind my teeth when they underplay the fact that they give less per ticket to charity than the National Lottery.
And they also underplay the fact that the do not have a licence to run an ongoing national lottery. To get round this it is not one lottery but a separate one each week (different geographical areas).
And (again) the implication that health organisations support it in preference to alternative fund raising methods.
I agree.....& a great number of the public seem to end up thinking that its raising money for the NHS...it doesn't !
The ryvita advert 'would anybody like to try my soup?' really grates on me, think it's because I find that woman so stuck up.
Not great casting for a dieting snack advert either, given that girl's last major role was as a bulimic model who inflicted her beliefs on other models, then eventually died (Hollyoaks).
She was a very unlikeable, unsympathetic character there too.

I reckon Bob would've approved though. Prostate cancer awareness ad. I thought it was awesome. For once, a useful tv ad...

The Vanish ad.. No!! it does not get rid of stains
'Just' perfume/after shave. Too much flashing lights I have to look away
Go compere. the old woman turning her nose up at being able to save nearly £300 ... she needs to save it with her home made sandwich sitting in a bus shelter

That's how I feel about all the intros to the ITV weather bulletins, (I think they're sponsored by Virgin) which have such a selection of national stereotypes I can't believe none of them have complained.

Oh god, her voice is like nails down a black-board isn't it?
That one for FiftyPlus annoys me at the moment, the woman on it used to be a really attractive Helen Mirren-esque older lady but now she just looks all botox, smugness & teeth!

They're getting worse if you can imagine that!
Someone should tell him that nose and ear prostethics don't make him funny

I recognised 'Melissa' instantly when she did the first of those ads. Never even occurred to me it was odd. It's just another job!
I LOVE the Snickers one with Joan Collins! It's funny! lol
Does anyone know why they cut the Stephanie Beecham bit off the end?
