I used to like the tesco spag bol. It was handy to eat just before work as it was quick and easy. I found out today that has now been stopped as it was containing up to 100% horsemeat. Im a bit disappointed as they were really nice. Im just glad the report i read said it didnt contain the dangerous drugs as thats what i was more concerned about than accidently eating horsemeat.
Not a regular consumer of them but when I do get them it tends to be the very cheap Value or Basics ones like lasagne, corned beef hash, cottage or shepherds pie.............the ones that cost about 80p and you can bung in the microwave for a couple of minutes..............:o
I sometimes buy the Tesco chicken curries when they're on special offer
I always have some tinned ready meals in the cupboard, lamb curry, stewing steak, mince and onions...........that kind of thing
I haven't had a ready meal for a few months though I did have lamb curry out of a tin today but it was M&S so it should be ok...........:o

Had no idea you could get tinned stuff like that. I've never really looked. Is it ok?
Nope no ready meals in the near future planned. I might get a pie though from the butchers at some point suppose that is sort of a ready meal.
I had an unpleasant experience with frozen lasagna a few years ago, was just really slimy, I like my own ones baked with a crispy top.
Tell a lie lol, before Christmas I did get an admirals pie as I was in myself that night, was fine it fed me lol!
I just find them quite dear, with packs of meat, veg, tins of tomatoes, herbs stock, rice, pastaetc. I can make meals for less than £1 a head, usually. Ready meals for the three of us would be double the cost.

safe from what ????????
Phenylbutazone ingestion that could, amongst other things, lead to aplastic anemia.
Sleep well.

Very true. When I was a teenager someone told me they found a blackbirds wing in a Linda McCartney pie, I didn't eat one for years.
Absolutely-I will need all my strength when I run in the 3.30 at Haydock
Oh good lord. That's horrific.
how did they know it was a Blackbird? could have been a burnt Starling. Questions questions..
during the war,, horse meat was consumed a lot in this country,
Nothing wrong with it but it isn't beef and that's where the problem lies.
