This Steve chappy is a walking advertisment for every manager out there who doesn't have a bl**dy clue.
All they do is think up stupid ideas and as they have never worked down on the ground, they are ideas that just don't work out in the real world.
I use to work at Eurotunnel and the management the where full of it. A new day, a new idea, always a failure.
The day after duty free ended I had a manager asking me why I thought people were now not bothering to go into the shops. "err ummm could it be as you don't do duty free any more?" I replied with amazement. I really wondered how many times my wage he was getting.
This episode really should be sponsored by British Airways or EasyJet to remind people there is another way to get to the north of England and Scotland.
I'd rather fly from London to Newcastle or Edinburgh than take the train.
I can imagine they're drafting a rebuttal press release right now. The Beeb will never be let near their platforms again
In all seriousness I don't think I've seen a complete assisination of a company on a TV show like this for quite some time. If this was a genuine commerical company it could be considered company suicide.
They are being handed their a**e on a silver platter right now.
There are bottlenecks which are being tackled an example is the proposed flyover
We have bottleneck problems in Birmingham, this being Birmingham New Street, yet nothing has been done to solve the issue, only painting over the cracks.

Birmingham New Street is being refurbished which is happening

for the £300 that was quoted earlier you could actually buy an old car and just dump it when you get there!

Hate all the problems, delays and the expense.
Other than the odd journey, I drive most the time.
Cheaper for us as a family to take a journey in the car, than it is for just myself to take same journey on the train!
Good job they're owned by Network Rail then.;)

No, we're thinking about why someone would kill themselves in a way that caused so much ****ing rail disruption. #therailway"

Dunno, but she seems like the most likeable person on the whole programme.

I'd be telling them that I did not want to be filmed.

OMG! nasty. No wonder the staff look so miserable dealing with people like that every day!
