It's not even about graphics but whether the new engines developers are building for PS4/720 are even capable of running on WiiU in the first place. Thus losing out on support like the Wii did.
That and Nintendo's target audience don't respond well to core game anyway, they like Nintendo games and casual fodder.
Feel Nintendo need to do more to attract the core gamer as well as the casual gamer. Still think Nintendo will turn it around far to early to say otherwise.
Rather than reading Rich Leadbetter's poorly written grab of what was discussed/guessed about on NeoGaf (I swear, he just plagiarized some of the posts and didn't bother to dress it up) how about reading about actual experiences from developers?
No, the Wii U isn't dying. As far as modern launches go, it has a pretty good line-up of games and is incredibly fun to play with the Gamepad. Nintendo's main problem has been the lack of advertising but it's still sold well considering. With the release of the announced games last month, a lot more consoles are going to be sold so I don't think we need to worry.
Yes, I have no doubt the 720 and PS4 will be more powerful, but power isn't everything. They could have the power of a gaming PC but if they don't have the games then what use are they? Of course I hope they also have games I'm interested in but at the moment we just don't know. We've seen the games on the horizon for the Wii U and it's very exciting. I'm sure there will be a lot more games to be announced during the next few months and at E3 so I don't think we need to shout Nintendoomed just yet
Power means nothing to me I prefer my 360 and isn't PS3 more powerful. Gameplay over graphics any day.
PS3 has more processing power, but that "oomph" is (or was initially) more difficult to harness for developers, but the 360 has more RAM memory and a better graphics processor (iirc).
Should read "I don't care about the graphics it's all about the same two franchises for three decades"
So true but if you try to explain that you don't really get a good answer about why they aren't demanding innovation in the games
My go to company of an example of how to do it right is naughty dog, they could of kept making good crash bandicoot for 20 years but they wanted to do new things, shame the same can't be said of nintendo

Do u guyz think Mario & Zelda would succeed on the playstation & XBox? (Or would they just get lost in the crowd? ... I've said for years the only reason they sell by the bucketload is because they have no competition on nintendo systems with em having very little 3rd party support)

I'd say no, if you at the type on game zelda is with a big open world filled with dungeons and side quests
Take skyward sword for example (which i need to finish) and place it against a similar game on PS3/360 like skyrim and it just wouldn't be good enough
That doesn't mean i don't like zelda games, i buy all the handheld versions , also all the mario's i've played lately have been great

zelda is not really open world though..
you have to do it in a certain order
chase pig, get sword, train with sword, get some rupees...etc
regarding it being good enough, Nintendo certainly wouldnt release it before it was ready..
ps3 skyrim im looking at you
zeldas been here since 1985, im sure they have got the formula right and thomas, you were not even born then
no offence
edit
thomas, i have to laugh, you have defended A;CM to death and then say that Skyward Sword isnt good enough compared to the likes of Skyrim, which is an excellent game..
skyward sword is fantastic, its epic, it works and the controls are amazing..and i hate motion controls
Funnily enough, the Mario and Zelda games offer something different to the large proportion of shooters nowadays, so it would be even more of a shame if those franchises were no more.

or Gearbox/ SEGA/whoever else contributed to this shit
I wouldnt say the Wii U is dying but Nintendo have not promoted it well at all and when the PS4 and new Xbox is out i think the Wii u will Struggle.

Much more informative.
well it wont, because even Nintendo fans will play COD on 360
Nintendo core customers want hi-def Mario or Pilotwings

And this is from a WiiU and 3DS owner
battle royale and little big planet karting maybe?
no doubt Cole will have a green hat and sword in his third outing?
I wish they had.
I'm not even sure what that means.
