If you want to do well in your career in the future, i really would recommend more revision as well as just doing more mocks.
If your lecturers are sending you in the direction of the mocks cant they get the mock tests for you? or advise where the best place is to get them?
I taught Cisco CCNA for a while, and some teenage students just wanted to do mock exams. They would do them over and over until they passed. Of course, they just wanted to memorise the answers rather than learn properly.
Is that like the Driving Theory tests where if you do enough mock tests you'll see enough of the answers, and know the correct answer, to get a pass? Parrot fashion.
I had a university exam like that once. All the questions were multiple choice and every year the lecturer put the exact same questions on the paper. If you did all the previous years' exam papers and learned off the answers it would be very easy to pass that exam!

Although MTA replaces MCDST in theory, I'd say its a lower level qualification.
There's no point accumulating lots of MTA qualifications as they aren't cumulative. AFAIK they are 'taster' qualifications to help young people decide which area of IT they want to get into.

I did the test posted above and failed, because i couldn't remember the ethernet distances....
reminds me of time when there were so many brain dumps around the time of NT MCSE, the amount of people entering the industry with MCSE and no practical experience was laughable.
