Mine has to be the Ericsson T28. A superb piece of kit for its time. Small, light and reliable. I used to used its voice dialing function all the time and it never miss dialed, ever!
I also loved flipping to up and down to answer or end a call. A brill little phone, sadly missed.

My first ever mobile back in the hey-day of 1999 was the Philips Savvy (http://www.gsmchoice.co.uk/en/catalogue/philips/savvy/). Had a bio-rythms calculator on it, where you input your DOB and it told you what sort of mood you should be in! Absolutely loved that phone
As for favourite phone spec and performance wise, you'd be hard pushed to beat the Nokia N95 (http://www.gsmarena.com/nokia_n95-1716.php). Solid as a rock, great camera, and the push up and down action was just cool
However my favourite phones have to be the Nokia 7110 slider (7110e because it was on Orange)
Loved using the slider to dramatically hang up haha, it does when the slider broke off & smelt of burning!! If I remember rightly I had two phone numbers for that phone.. Oranges two line service and also Wildfire the automated personal assistant
Then it has to be the Nokia 8850 great phone for nights out, but I went through about 4 of them as they kept getting stolen (1 was lost). I didn't get to replace the last one as my insurance company said no more!!
My first phone was the Cellnet Genie? The one that took a whole Credit card sized sim and I'm sure it was analogue. A 08 number if I remember rightly!! Buggy piece of crap though, with a battery of something like 10 mins talk time ha.
The worst phone i had was the Motorola V70... Looked so cool with its rotating form factor and blue lights. Absolutely crap to live with and crashed all the time.
Thankfully I got it free as I sold so many Motorolas through business contracts.
I remember people used to 'chip' those savvy phones so that when you turned it on it would get £10 credit on it.
I loved my Sony T610 until it stopped turning on (like most Sony's back then!).

I also owned a Sony CMD-J70 back in the 90's. My first phone with polyphonic ring tones! I remember being so wowed by that back then!

Samsung d600, did its thing in a subtle way, Samsung x640, Nokia 1100

Back in the days when signals were hard to come by, especially in the countryside this phone held onto a signal like a pitbull holds onto something with it's teeth:)
And absolutely pissed all over the Nokia 101 and 121 at the time:D
But that was my favorite phone.
I also liked the size and battery life of phones back then - I would not even notice the weight in my pocket - I would only charge my phone once a week!
I aspired to get this phone but could not afford it back then!
Snap!
I had the T100 before that, and believe it or not I thought the polyphonic ringtones were amazing.
In terms of game changers, I had the LG Viewity which was really the first large screen, touch phone of the style that we are all used too today. Unfortunately the technology wasn't quite ready.
The worst I've owned (and still do) is the Nexus 4, this thing was built on a shoe string budget and sells for £238 and boy does it show. Ok it get fast updates but it lacks inEVERY other area. I know it's labeled as the chavs phone but its not that , that bothers me. It's the very poor build quality.
hahahahaha
and he is back .......
every forum needs a little "Hugh"
back on topic - T-Mobile Vario IV .... horrible phone but great fun - first phone i started flashing ROMs on - mostly to get rid of the god-awful pink theme that T-Mobile burnt into it
The HTC Desire was great too !
Nokia N95
HTC Hero
It was that good they released a Nokia 3330
I was the only person anyone had every seen with a gold phone, so it got me a lot of attention haha. A lot people said the phone was buggy and dated, it was a bit dated as it came out in 2008 with limited smart phone functions, although it did had wifi and gps. The camera was amazing, 8mp and xenon flash! better then most new smart phone cameras!
I had it a week before a drunken night out when i lost it
My first mobile was a 1G Nokia 101 on Cellnet.
Battery lasted about 12 hours without using it and if you did manage to get it in your pocket it looked like you were pleased to see everyone! Hahaha
This was 1994 and there were about 2 cells covering most of south devon so you had to be on a hill to use it.
Second from the left (1992) in this pic.

My favorite though was Sony Ericsson T68i (one of, if not the first ever color screen / camera (albeit clip on) / "joystick" / Bluetooth phones and it was great.
Also loved the Nokia 8310, such a tiny phone and decent specs for the time.
