C'mon Ireland, you've won SEVEN TIMES. You're the most succesfull in that department. And you claim Yohanna was from Finland AAAAAAAAAAAAAND that she played the piano.

No piano and wrong country :D

I love that song and would have been proud if it did come from Finland, but no...... that man got that wrong. And the piano....

C'mon dear, check before making a comment like that. :D

Now there are millions of irish people thinking that Yohanna came from Finland. Oh yes, I so bet that they are thinking it still and tomorrow telling it to their friends.....:p

    THIS IS SERIOUS :D

Not sure about your winner :o

Hmmm....... it seems a lot of countries are sending discopoptechno whatever after Swedens victory last year.

Well, no trip to Dublin for me in 2014 :(

Please don't give laurels more firepower - the winner singer (well) is from the same county in northern ireland as me :o

And now it gets weirder because it transpires that this attempted murder charge of the investigating police officer only happened today but applies to a crime which happened in 2011.

I see conspiracy theories all over this one!

But as Eileen says, bottom line is a young woman has been killed and Pistorius has owned up to it, however it happened

I do as well.......pistorius is too important as a sporting hero , so things are being arranged to make him look as positive as possible....

I do agree it almost seems like a terrible tragic accident, but it just doesnt make any sense....

and all this talk of eurovision...its lovely to hear the backstories, but ive still no idea who is representing the UK. It would be lovely to be someone with a good song and a good voice and a good chance of winning, or at least putting up a respectable effort and score....

but I doubt it will be possible, the uk never seem to do well at the moment.

You had a good song last year. You had a good voice last year. You put up a good effort last year. You just blew it in the presentation of the song....

Once again I will remind you that UK came in 5th place in 2009.

UK also came in 5th place in 2011 (with the televote). But when juryvotes were added they UK dropped to 11th place. These days 11th place in the field of 25 songs is not bad :) At least in my mind it isn't....

That's because we want to WIN, doncha know, Heidi?
We never think we're doing well unless we win.
We love moaning about not winning - even if it's Eurovision :p

Us here in TS would want to win, so then you'll be forced to come over the UK and meet us :D

Yes, but the way you did between 2003-2008 would make one to think that when you "finally" made 5th place youd be happy.... UK was second in 2002, btw. So it's not like you waited forever..... And you won 1997, was second 1998.....

For crying out loud, before Lordi in 2006 Finland had never even placed in the top 5. And after Lordi we haven't even placed in top 10.

But do you hear us complain?
    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO :D

You brits and your need to win :p:D

Love how you put it, I would be FORCED to meet you.:D

As I would say to Dongle....not proper Irish...comes from her part of the world:p;) And if it did win the Brits would claim it, as the singer is from the North:p

    Have a good day, guys.
Me, I'm having a day off work, going up to Nottingham to take my son out to Sunday lunch for his 25th birthday!
God, it makes us feel old.
