I have a small mp3 player that charges up via usb in my desktop computor.
I'm wondering is there any other way of chargeing it up ?
I have a gemini tablet... that charges up via a 9 volt adaptor. Could I somehow connect my mp3 player to that and get charged up ?

Possibly with a USB extension lead. Any USB charger will with if you can make it fit. They are 5v by the way.
or as xxtimbo says you can buy a usb charger very cheaply. You can also buy a USB charger that will plug into the lighter socket in a car. Problem is that most players cannot charge and play at the same time. My Cowon C2 won't - quite it's most annoying feature.
I use the iPad charger when away to charge my Blackberry, mp3 player and my xMini speaker as well as the iPad.
Thanks, that plug could just be the solution, 5 volts, I guessing that is the same output as the computor usb
Almost certainly it's 5V, although it might be a different connector to that needed.
The make/model of the MP3 is important, some require you to buy their own special charger. Sony used to do this, but don't any more I think.
it would be handy if there was an adaptor that let me get the juice into this
small logik mp3 player
tried to get that plug in that would charge at 5 volt.
He showed me an empty shelf.... these plugs would have done it .. but we re sold out, people buying them for kindle because they dont supply them.
well I bought a kindle and I got a plug and usb cable to charge it .. I replied..
No , this is Kindle Fire... he replied !
Then I looked at the price of this plug... £15 plus !!!!
Looks like this is the best option

Ill have to set up an account with amazon and order on line !
£1.72 compared with £15+ ... big difference !
Also are you saying you have a charger for a Kindle and it won't charge your Logik MP3?
So the cable is directly wired into the charger, is that right? And at the other end is a micro-USB that won't fit the Logik MP3?
So the Logik MP3 has a mini-USB socket for charging, i.e. it charges via the PC/Laptop?
If you are sure your Logik MP3 charges via it's USB lead then I would spring for a £3 charger.

the kindle has a plug type socket so they are incompatable
and there was one... but at £1.13 p per min !!!
I contacted them by e mail and said, is it possible to get on a free phone or local charge line and order an item from amazon and pay by debit card ?
simple reply........ no ....
seems like they only deal with people (bit like easy jet ) over the web via e mail.
seems crazy that they are refusing money via direct debit card and a normal charge phone... but there it is !
That's because they're an internet shopping company. Bit like complaining your corner shop doesn't have a website and won't do online deliveries. That's not what they are.
What's the difference anyway? You either phone up and give them your debit card details, or you log in and give them your debit card details.
The latter is, in fact, much safer. Someone on the phone could write down your details as you give them, then go shopping for themselves. Can't possibly happen through a secure website.
I'm pretty sure all chargers come from china.
Now that they're all switched mode power supplies rather than big transformers they're all pretty safe. buy two if you like and take one apart.
Usually for mobile 'phones, but that doesn't matter if it has a USB socket on it. It will be 5V in that case.
