Ham in the fridge unopened

I bought some ham in asda and not opened it..The date says the 7th March..will it be ok to open today..looks ok, but not sure..Had some in the fridge once before as i forgot it was there, got it out and it was all green :eek: but this isnt greeen yet :D

    As it's 4 days within its best before date then yes.

    its ok, i opened it and had some on toast..( what i could taste )..Will finish it off in my tea ( its nice with cauliflower cheese, in the bottom of the dish :p)

    its been in the fridge awhile, so didnt know it was off...

    it was merely a question if one wasnt sure :rolleyes:

    I normally freeze ham in sandwich sized portions once I've opened it.

    That's my point. The use by date is if the ham is unopened, so why would it be off? :confused:

    inside the packet had some sort of different colour to it, like bacon has sometimes when you look at the pack...but ive had some and i think its ok..will use it up for my tea..and sorry for any questions, i wont do any again
