Black Salve herbal drawing ointment. Anyone know if I can I get it in UK?

Hi.

Quick question. Does anyone know where I can get a herbal 'drawing' ointment called 'Black Salve' from in the UK? I've had a look on google but it's mainly US sites that sell it.

If I can find a UK site to get it from that would be much more convenient.

Thanks.

Thanks for that. I'm looking for the one with bloodroot in it but little zinc chloride.

As I'd seen you could make your own I was curious if there was a recipe for making your own with bloodroot and found this:
    Bloodroot Salve
A second type of salve that is also black in color, and often called black salve, is bloodroot salve. Made with the herb bloodroot or Sanguinaria canadensis, bloodroot salve was the only treatment available for skin cancer prior to the 20th century. Bloodroot salve is considered escharotic, which means that it causes tissues to die or burn off. Bloodroot is only approved by the FDA for use in small quantities in certain beauty products. Colgate-Palmolive was experimenting with a bloodroot extract in toothpaste for the treatment of plaque, for example. Bloodroot salve can cause serious injury if improperly used.

EEkkk. Well, on reflection, I think I might use a bread poultice or some Fuller's Earth paste instead to draw out splinters and/or any skin problems. I don't want 3rd degree burns!

Thanks Woodbush. That looks more like it. I did search but only found US shops selling it so your link is much appreciated. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but could you not use magnesium paste to draw out splinters/infections etc?

Yes, whack a bit of magnesium sulfate on the problem and you'll be fine. It's really cheap too.
