Hi.
have around 50 photos on my Ipad which I would like to copy on to my windows 8 laptop. However I don't know how to. I've plugged my Ipad in to my laptop but I can't find anywhere to copy photos from Ipad to Laptop. Can anyone help.

In any case, you can also use iCloud - instructions for download and use here.
I use Dropbox too for this sort of stuff.
Plug in your iPad and in iTunes click on the name of the iPad in the side menu. When the white centre panel appears, click on the tab at the top of it called Photos. Look at the settings and if you haven't set it up to sync photos to the computer, follow the instructions to do that.
Here's how to do it:
Connect the iPad. iTunes might open automatically but just ignore it. In Windows 8, a box should appear in the top right asking you what you want to do with the iPad. One of these options is to import pictures. If you click that, you'll be able to specify a folder and import your photos.
If the box doesn't appear, go to Computer (if you don't have a shortcut, the easiest way to access it from the Windows 8 desktop is to click on the Libraries toolbar shortcut and select Computer from the list on the left). You will then see the iPad as a connected device. Right-click it and select Import Photos. There will be an option for this to happen automatically whenever you connect the iPad.
If you don't want to use that method, you can use a third-party service like Photo Manager Pro to transfer over your network. You can't use iCloud backup for this as it's literally that - a backup if you need to restore your device, You can use Photo Stream though, and that's the easiest way for the future. Enable Photo Stream on your iPad, then any photos you take will automatically be added. Download the iCloud Control Panel for Windows, enable Photo Stream, and your photos will automatically appear there without you doing anything at all.
Hope this helps!!
Ah right. Looking at my post, I perhaps came across as a bit rude, which wasn't my intention, sorry.
Yeah, Windows just sees the iDevice as a connected camera so gives you the normal option for viewing photos or importing them.
I still think Photo Stream is the simplest way though.
I saw someone at the racing using an iPad for photos last week. As they were blocking others view holding it up to take pictures, several people asked them not to!
I absolutely despise people taking photos on their iPads! Where I do find it useful though is editing. Often I'll take a photo with my phone and then edit it on my iPad. Photo Stream is useful for that.
It only saves the most recent 1000 photos on the iPhone and iPad, but on the Mac and PC it acts as a permanent storage solution, so it's good for making sure your photos are automatically backed up to another device.
I use Dropbox too, but because of the way iOS works, I have to remember to open the app so that it starts uploading.
No plugging in required.
Which is pretty much what I said in my initial response... But, apology accepted
Haha, it just seemed like the OP needed a bit more guidance!
