Ask and you shall receive.
Forming part of the BBC Proms 2013, there will be two performances, one on the evening of Saturday 13 July and another during the morning on Sunday 14 July. This is the first time since 2010 that there has been a Doctor Who presence at the event.
More details will be announced officially this Thursday and tickets will go on sale next month.

Yeah this blows David and Billie coming back out of the water (sarcasm off)
How rude.
well it's exciting news for those who have enjoyed the proms concerts in the past. I expect the tickets will sell like hot cakes.
Didn't mean to be rude sorry I'm just pointing out that as great this news is it is not bigger then David and Billie coming back
no more so than the first two times it was included in it
and certianly no more than the inclusion of Wallace and Gromit last year did
The Proms are increasingly presenting a more diverse range of material in a bid to appear less elitist and aloof. Good on them I say.
Getting people interested in what is an otherwise incredibly boring product can only do it a world of good
I'll forgive you.
I wonder if the little Jones girl will appear? Hope so!:)
I don't think Doctor Who is an incredibly boring product...
I think he means the Proms - though they aren't boring either. :D
(Poor C. Samurai lives in a dreadfully sad and negative world, seemingly).
That's rude! You shouldn't say that about people. You don't know him. He's only giving his comment, like other people. We are entitled to our own opinions.
I don't think they would dare not include her... Unfortunately, I am no longer with that member of the London Philharmonic choir, so I will not know any of the details, nor will I get to see Matt Smith again...
Thank you for your completely justified admonition. I'm sure you are a much nicer person than myself (not difficult:)).
However, in defence of my remarks, I must say I have never read anything pleasant or positive by the poster in question (which is a perfectly valid choice on his part), and I was feeling sorry for him rather than telling him off.
Sorry to hear that, sebbie.
Congratulations, that's the exact reason no-one gives a shite about them.
The Proms has been attempting to become more popular for years, and not just by hitching on to the Doctor Who bandwagon and hope it can pull them out of the mire..
Perhaps their constant attempt to, in your words "dumb down" mean that they're desperate to get any new fans in, by any means necessary because the future doesn't look too good for them once the current level of posh old cronies who are its lifeblood at the moment are no longer with us.
Away from the snobbery, I was thinking last week how all the new music meant we could do with another Prom.
I'm not the biggest fan of series 6 overall, but some of the music was pretty good too.
(The stuff that wasn't just variations of "I am the Doctor" anyway )
Still, nothing will ever top Vale Decem....maybe if its a 50 year special, they can play that again?
Neither the Proms or Doctor Who is boring and considering both are so British as a nice cuppa, I think it's only fitting.
Plus Murray Gold has to be one of the most talented TV music writers ever!
But does this mean the Ice Warriors will show up this time?:D

Interestingly the pricing seems to be (very) different even though the pricing is the same!
IIRC it's on The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe vanilla dvd.
Thanks for the link!
I just signed up and "planned" my visit.
You can't actually book though until 9:00AM Saturday 11th May.
