Yeah love this episode, probably my second favourite single episode, after the fete one.
Back in the 90's, I would set my alarm clock to wake up in the early hours to watch Prisoner on Channel 5. I must of been about 13 or 14 years old. I didn't watch many episodes but I remember really enjoying it. I stopped watching them because I was knackered at school, falling asleep in lessons. Last year I decided to watch it from start to finish, which took me about 5 months or so to complete. I watched it a lot! I adore the show and have my favourite characters like we all do and I plan on watching it again after I have finished my Sunset Beach marathon (another show that I watched in the 90's) This thread is awesome btw and hi to everyone in here!

Hey Scotty - what a nice post!:):) good to see another fan. I used to sit up in the mid- late 90s on Friday nights and watch it on ITV. I loved it. We didn't have Channel 5

Hi, yes I remember when it used to be on Channel 5, I think it started at 4:40 am, I used to start work at 5, so would tape them and watch them when I got home:D.

Hi chrissielatham, ere Chrissie.... aaz Elizabeth?

Yes! 4:40am. It's no wonder I couldn't follow the plot, especially at that hour. I had a portable tv in my bedroom and wasn't allowed to watch it during late night/early morning so I had to be as quiet as Heather Trapp and sneak it on. Sshh
If you had to choose a one off episode of Prisoner as your favourite which would you choose. Mine would be the fete episode when Cass has her breakdown and Reb attacks Phyllis.
My favourite few episodes would be the Ballinger siege ones.
My favourite era would be from episode 406-440 odd, particularly the David Bridges storyline.
Favourite single episode: the fire #326.
My favourite group of episodes would be #1-16.
Favourite era: Judy's arrival through to Bea's amnesia.

I don't have a favorite episode, as I can't remember them all. But I will say that I enjoyed the episodes with Bea Smith, purely because she was pretty much unchallenged for "top dog ", whereas the succeeding "top dogs "always had a struggle to hold on to power.

Maybe I'm wrong but thats how I remember it.
Yeah Bea had some great episodes, i loved the ones where she lost her memory and went to seek Mum out, then she grabs Gaffney through the hatch when she gets it back, 'Well im back!', brilliant.
Lizzie also had some great episodes, especially the ones where she was blotto, and Maxines death, she was superb there.

To me there are four eras and roughly four gangs throughout prisoner.
The Bea Smith Era
Comprising MAINLY of Bea, Lizzie, Doreen, Judy, Chrissie, Hazel, Mouse, Mum, Margo, Susie, Helen, Pixie
The Myra Desmond Era
Myra, Judy, Helen, Bobbie, Marlene, Dot, Minnie, Cass, Pixie, Lexie
The Nora Flynn Era (the short bridging gap between Myra and Rita)
Nora, May, Willie, Daphne, Julie, Lexie, Jenny, Eve, Queenie
The Rita Conners Era
Rita, Alice, Lexie, Julie, Jessie, Nancy, Roach, Spike
Throughout all you have always had those opposing the top dog right from the beginning:
Frankie Doyle, Monnie Ferguson, Nolene Burke, Toni McNally, Kay White, Sharon Gilmour, Margo Gaffney, Marie Winter, Nola McKenzie, Sonia Stevens, Reb Keane, Phyllis Hunt, Lou Kelly, Alice Jenkins, Frances Harvey, Kath Deakin, Bev Baker, Rurh Ballinger, Kath Maxwell, Spider.....

Don't forget the Minnie Donovan era:D.
My favourite era would be the Myra Desmond one, I thought she was the best against The Freak. I think Myras enemies were best, her hatred for Gloria Payne and the grouping of Reb, Lou, Alice and Frances was good.

I'm not sure if its been mentioned on here, but there was a film or a biopic about the actress who played Lizzie. I think it was about her acting career and her battle with cancer. I never did get to see it.

Oh and how HOTTTT is Peter McCormack
The episodes get really good now as far as I'm concerned, from 592-603 are all great episodes.

Quiet as Heather Trapp, I like it
well thanks and hi from pjw the prisoner thread starter:)
Hi pjw, TURN AROUND, HANDS AGAINST THE WALL!
*sides on black leather gloves*
This a thank you from me and the rest of us for starting this thread.
Maybe I'm wrong but thats how I remember it.
In an episode in which Shane Munroe is in hospital he shows Joan a 'get well card' given to him by his step sister.
The card says at the top 'To Robert'.
What? Robert? His name is Shane!
I can understand a props person making a mistake. But why didn't the director notice? Or the actors holding the card?
Surely someone filming the scene would have noticed. But there isn't any attempt to hide it. The card clearly says 'to Robert'.
Shane is played by Robert Summers. Seems likely that they used his real name by accident maybe.
I'll be starting again soon also, love it.

Reallly liking Roach and quite like Andrew Hinton. Marty Jackson is very annoying though.
