What is wrong with a son wanting to spend time with his mother, and being interested in her work? And if he is interested in fashion/modeling/clothes as career or even just a hobby, what is wrong with that?
I'm really getting weirded out here. Things that VB should get praise for, like educating her kids, spending time with them, the kids actually wanting to spend time with her are used against her.
No-one's saying she should be praised for it. Most reasonable people are saying she shouldn't be criticised for being a good mum. You people just don't get it!
try following the thread before you start jumping down people's throat and getting insulting luv...
No Willow.
I happened to say that in my opinion, Romeo's a bit of a mummy's boy, I had no intention of talking about his sexuality.
That's being used as a strawman argument by certain people.
Amusing that you would refer to a straw man argument in your post... referring to a ten year old as a mummy's boy is hardly a compliment... perhaps as an adult I am unusual in thinking that insulting a child whether directly or indirectly is fundamentally wrong... although from the reaction of other posters it would appear I am not that unusual.
why should she gets "praise" for doing what a large majority of mothers are doing day in, day out?!... that's what grates on me - the way they promote their good parenting.... it's obviously working tho  the brand is coining it in with the family image
Exactly. She's doing nothing more than many other parents do, she doesn't deserve a medal for it.
I've heard her kids are well behaved and pleasant, which they should be. They've had a good education and obviously their parents pull them up on bad manners, but in the end, that's how all kids should be brought up, not just the Beckham boys and girl.

I don't think that's what Fingers&Toes meant, that she should be praised for normal parenting stuff, more that everything she does seems to be met by some people with scorn and ridicule, as if it's all for show (and the brand!!) and can never be just because she's their mother, doing normal mother stuff with them, whether it's at a museum or a fashion show or a football match etc.
This is why people defend her, not because she's some extraordinary example of motherhood, just that she can't seem to catch a break from some people.
Lexi
For me the "Brand" is her and David ...occasionally due to the nature of their life ,parents etc..the kids are dragged into that "brand" but I don't think they are exploited for the "brand" 24/7
Me too. I Completely agree. If people wanna be trolls and say he's gay then have the guts to say it. Like David & Victoria would even care. They are a lot of things. Bad parents is not one of them.
this is exactly right, they do everything they can for those kids

haven't got time to answer in full Lex, but if she wasn't prancing about in ridiculous attire (especially shoes!!) whilst she was doing this 'normal mother stuff' I might buy into that she's just another 'normal mother' going about her 'normal parenting duties' - I honestly believe that everything she does is with PR in mind, and that includes the way she is portrayed as a mother...
I have taken all of my younger family members to museums/art gallery's/exhibitions for their whole lives starting in their buggies... they all now do the same thing with the next generation because they loved the experience so much themselves... you underestimate the curiosity and intelligence of children... an art gallery is a visual representation of the past/emotions/generational changes... explained well it is in an incredibly stimulating experience.
Take 'em to Flamigo Land, they'll love you more for it.

Agreed.
If she wanted to take the kids to the museum without a big hoo-hah, she could have gone through a side entrance. As it is she turns it into a full scale photo op with bodyguards, in-laws, out-laws, parents and Uncle Tom Cobbley and all.
The pics of Brooklyn wheeling Harper also add to the 'awwww, cute' factor.

I never wear anything lower than 4 inch heels and haven't been seen in public without a full face of slap for 20 years. That includes family days out. Why is ensuring you look immaculate at all times seen as a bad thing?

I don't think she's a bad parent.
I don't think she's evil because she doesn't smile.
I actually enjoy looking at photographs of them
I just wish she would lighten up a bit and stop taking herself so damn seriously. Always with the sunglasses on, fixed almost frozen expression (must be all that work she hasn't had done  ) mouth slightly open in an attempted pout, tottering around on those heels, hand up to her face showing the wedding ring off - yes, we know who you're married to, it's the only reason you're still around - it's just all so contrived. She's looks ridiculous. But I do think she's all about image and I do think she treats her children, particularly Harper, like fashion accessories. And I predicted it. She was so desperate for a little girl to dress up. She's pretty much said that herself. And when she puts pictures of her and Harper's outfits for the coming day on Twitter - some people may find that cute, I find it utterly c*ntish to be honest.
I know Geri Halliwell can be annoying and a bit earnest but she's prepared to laugh at herself and normal people can relate to her. Personally, I think she's a bit of a Bridget Jones and people warm to that.
As she clearly wants to live her life in the spotlight - still tipping off those paps eh - I'm sure if VB just let her hair down a little in public, she'd catch the break you're talking about.
Di60 I think what gets to people is the fact she is always posing..she doesn't seem to know when to just switch it off ..... but I think that's a problem she has because of the perfect brand she has established and just now n again I'd like her to "dress down" a bit ...
A full face of slap isn't an issue for me.. Her skin isn't great so maybe she is covering that .. I'm the total oposite to her ..I like to dress casual unless im attending something.. Everyone is different

I don't hate her and I do think she has polite, well mannered kids, but she's got this awful self-centeredness about her. All the tripe about how she doesn't smile because she ''hates her teeth'' - well blow me down Mrs B, and you a multi-millionairess! Get them fixed then!

exactly how I feel, but she p1sses me off to such a degree that I dont put it across in such a measured way

She's had them fixed and they still don't look great as they still point inward.
Maybe money can't buy you everything including looking like this >>>

Is that such a terrible thing?

Actually, love, I have read it.
I did say "follow" not "read" .... let's leave it there, I wouldn't want you to embarress yourself further luv...

I don't think I said it was. It's just a personal observation.

Had you said "Daddy's girl" about Harper, would that mean anything? Or even Mummy's girl?
Not at all!
The pics I've seen of her with her dad are very sweet and what girl isn't a ''daddy's girl'' at some time in their life? I know I was.
At least her dad walks with her instead of treating her like her mum does - a fashion accessory stapled to her hip.

You can do both you know? It's not an either/or situation,. Kids need fun days out but they also need intellectual stimulation

I'd of thought living in the US she would of had that problem sorted
I would hardly say using the word c*ntish is measured :D:o
