I thought they had all moved on to 1D now. Hence the split.
Says it all really. Not really a market for many, if any, UK boybands at the moment. Might have been better for JLS to announce a break though - at least it gives them an excuse to come back in a few years, much like Blue.
They can still come back I suppose, but a break would have probably been a better commercial decision.
I agree. Maybe because Rochelle is pregnant, they think that Marvin won't have time for the band so they think that it would be best to split up.
That's strange since Una has already had a baby and Rochelle is having a baby but The Saturdays aren't spiliting up. Although I guess it could be harder for Marvin to see the kid if they are always touring in different places? *shrugs*

Who knows? I'm just trying to understand why they are splitting up. It's a bit of a shock.
I'm not shedding any tears! I wasn't a fan but at least they weren't annoying like The Wanted or in your face like 1D. Plus Marvin is married to Rochelle from The Saturdays
Not surprised at all, in fact I predicted this in the 2013 prediction thread. They didn't have much of a choice really, what with their trend of halving album sales each year, album five would have probably ended up failing to go Silver anyway.
When your latest single charts at the dizzying heights of #112, you probably know it's time to call it quits.
Yeah, we all expected it this year, some people predicted it in the 'Predictions for music in 2013' thread. People on twitter/facebook are asking for a greatest hits, I don't think there's any point; they never brought anything 'great' to the table.
Comments
they also split? haha
EDIT: Some of their singles were actually decent catchy songs though TBH.
WAY better than 1D.

I'm sure it will be revealed in due time.
Yeah they split last year. I doubt many people outside of music forums such as this one know though. However I could be wrong on that!
Why did I spend a whole hour of my life making this?

So yes a Greatest Hits and final tour for the remaining fans seems a well organised and well timed farewell.
