You always sweep me off my feet. How the devil are you?
Rugby's never interested me much until now. Mixed rugby? now that's got to be quite a game!!!
....pushes Arte off .... have some decorum woman, tsk, at your age ...sheesh..:p
Hello lovely, am fine ta, same old same old, gin soaked, diamond dripping expat lay dee :D
How's life in the country treating you, glad you got the lambing done, hope the weather behaved for you
How's Ms D ooooh, so many questions....so little wine, oops, sorry, time....:D
I know! We often get live statues on plinths out on the street but this was scary.
Actually, last year, a really buxom girl used to pose as a nymph wearing a flesh-coloured leotard, wings, and a few wisps of gauze. I am not being unkind, but it was hard to believe that she could ever really take off in flight without specialised lifting gear.I really admired her bravery, though.....

Was it this moots ? I dont remember lost in space being on the radio ......( came back to edit ...I just read a list of the characters and one of them was called Lemmy ( not Lenny ) so thats your man innit.
Two things ..one...nice one youtube for removing "Winkle picker shoes blues " by Bernard Cribbins ( which I have never heard ) due to third party copyright infringement ...thanks ....thanks a lot . Always one step ahead of the Bernard Cribbins bootleggers arent they ....well done.
two.....Joni give us a wave.
Ridiculous place, why can't it have proper weather....this is just getting silly now...'real feel 44C' I know, I've just been out in it...no wonder people go mad in the heat..
..still hot electric fan is telling me it's 31C inside the house, and it's hotter upstairs....yuk. I do run the AC from time to time but last month's leccy bill was 450 quid stoopit 'built like a brick oven' house....
Lambing is finished (for me anyway) and they're all ignoring me now grass is once again on the menu. the ungrateful little sods.
I've got some pics but no idea how to put them up on photobucket....anyone please feel free to pm me with idiot proof instructions. so I can linky them on here.

Thanks acks - that's the one! It wasn't very clear when heard through the bedroom wall
 I don't know hpow you can bear it, halla!
do you have aircon?
DENNERS!!!!!:D we missed you!
:D:D
I stay indoors mostly...we do have air con but it's very expensive to run, usually it's just on at night in the bedrooms, but it's been so hot recently that I have had to run one downstairs during the day, usually I can manage with just fans...
I didn't have any internet this morning, so pleased to find that it is back again.
MIL doesn't get in until late tonight as she is going via Paris to save 15 quid and will have a 4 hour stopover there...With a 4 hour wait, I would probably have ended up spending 50 quid on food, drink and shopping just to pass the time! She has plenty of money, too, so it's not as if she has to be mega careful!
It was very hot in Athens and bustling with tourists, I was pleased to see. All up and down the main shopping centre, were street entertainers, which gave it a very jolly air though I nearly wet myself with fright when a shop-window dummy, suddenly waved at me. I am sure it was very funny, seeing people's reactions, and fortunately, I don't have a weak heart!

Throw some of that weather our way you greedy bugger, not the full on 40's c but an extra 10c will do for starters! Weather has been shit, too many cold nights and wet, cold days but it's picking up. But we didn't get the snow others have had (phew!) that would have ruined us before we'd begun.
Miss D's struggling to find regular work but I've been earning a bit more than I thought I would find. Swings and roundabouts, and slidey slides.
Good to hear you're doing well, how's the knee behaving itself?
I could write a little book myself! I've been a lambing a plenty and it's had it's ups and downs, strops, tears, noooo sleep  at times but a lot of laughs and good things that words don't do justice .
but what a feeling when it's all done and the lambs are boinging around like woolly nerds.
I've been watching the grass grow! (shouting at it to bloody grow actually!). We've had nasty mr fox visit and too many dead animals for my liking (not us but on the farm I've been helping on) , fly tipping bollox and stoopid paperwork , vet troubles & lost one cow and sold the other but the rest's all been good.
and squueeallly piglets (but no piglety pics atm).
and soon I'll be starting sheepdog training (gulp) and on a shearing course and looking at goats to buy and oh lots of stuff.

Wow! Sounds busy busy busy but good busy
Lambing is hard bloody work, sorry DS for the sweary word. I helped out a friend one year before we left scotlandshire and even as a part time spare pair of hands it was full on, and they rarely pay attention to what time of day it it either and sheep are monumentally stupid.....and they've incredibly hard heads when they decide to butt you in the thigh when you're trying to castrate and mark the lambs...
Paperwork was his biggest complaint as well...
Have fun with the sheepdog training !

Hi Hicky
Must admit I haven't missed not having the internet much at all.
apart from being on here which I have missed, the web is a good way to waste away my life doing nowt.
