Yeah to be honest it would probably be doing even better if this series was the first, I bet lots of people gave up on it last year which I nearly did but decided to give it another go, its much improved. I'm glad people are now spreading the word and people are watching it either again or for the first time.

BGT seems so dated now, kind of seen it all before now.

The real test will be the week after next when the Battles arrive + whether it can keep hold of the audience.

I think the new later timeslot will probably help + the sharper editing, so hopefully could sustain itself :)

The Voice has improved a lot since last year in terms of editing and the judges's comments. Tom Jones and Will I am in paticular are better as Tom seems more real and genuine.

I think it could very likely be renewed for another season, but I think they should go back to 10 artists per team, I think 12's a bit too much.

If the battles are less cringey than last year and the production values go up I don't see anything but good things.

I've been highly critical of the Voice in the past, I think the BBC are terrible at stuff like this (its like your granny dancing) but I think done in the right way, this programme can be a solid hit

Considering it's quite warm today in certain parts today, it should be quite close to 8m tonight.

Anything over 7million tonight would be fantastic. The big question is: will BGT get 9.5million after such a poor episode last week? I doubt it!

It's a different week altogether. Weather is fairly good which will hit BGT slightly.

Will the Voice manage a year on year growth? I doubt it!

And we're off I think we shout sit with our back to the telly and pretend we are the judges.

I would turn around for this

Ok they were right to hang on to the end, she didn't quite hit the high notes

    Hello all:D

I liked the girl, she had a lovely tone and I think her nerves did her in.

This chap chose a great song for this - and did well, though I didn't like the screechy high note much.

    One for Jessie.

I don't like this, Jessie will. I'm sick of this frilly style.

    I prefer the previous girl.

The big test is next week now that the auditions are over. Will it become like the X factor. It has to offer something different. The battle rounds turned into a shouting contest last year

That's great - an increase each week so far.

I hope this keeps up and I don't see why not - the Battles look exciting from the preview. The Voice has improved since last year so I'm sure the Battles will be better this year.

Cracking brake down and great ratings again for the Voice so happy for it. Shame of the little clash with BGT as that keeps giving it a slow start. Without out that dare I say would the average have been higher

So your prediction went out the window, as BGT got over 9.5million exc +1 and over 10million inc +1.

    :)

Next week it's scheduled at 8:35pm. Wouldn't say it's ideal for it to be finishing near/past 10pm.

9.52 million to be exact - a fraction over. Not an out of the window prediction at all.

And as SamuelW also said, anything over 7 million for The Voice would be fantastic and they got 7.99 million. :)
