Anything - and I mean ANYTHING to do with such companies should be banned - whether or not it includes football teams or what. (One I know is sponsored by Wonga, and is in dire financial
straits! - Maybe serves them right!)
But mind you, would anyone take anything that Katona says as meaningful?
By hiring Katona as the face of their company, I'd say that alone shows exactly what Cash Lady think of their potential customers.
Its down to people to manage their cash the firms offer a service and people know what they are getting into when signing up.
Just shows what we have beome if people need these to survive.
Its always been like that. People hocking their stuff, getting paid and then getting it back.
Yes thats true enough.
Just seems to have a greater feature now with all the "Wonga" ads and all that.
Entirely disagree. These loans are aimed at the most vulnerable people in society. People who put 2&2 together and get 5. People who are often struggling with various other debts.
The payday loan companies know EXACTLY who they are targeting and it makes them all the more vile.
How any government - even the "nasty party" Tories - can allow these companies to operate legally - is a total disgrace.
Nothing can excuse the existence and behaviour of these companies.
That may be so and you are partially right, but there are plenty of agencies to help people budget,Citizens advice, ect ect.
If people need payday loans then barring emergencies they are living beyond their means.
And must take some responsibility themselves.
One of the venture capitalists behind Wonga is a major funder of the tory party, he even advises them on policy.
Any loan of 2000% and more as was this one (wonga is over 4000%) APR is not a genuine company, its a loan shark.
Noooo I wanted to post this! :D
However I think you should give the correct link so the views go to the people that made it:

I wish I wasn't shocked by this, since I feel there is generally nothing which can shock me anymore, and yet...
To be fair even Labour when in power did s- d all to stem the flood of such companies although after losing power surprisingly ! Stella Creasy Labour Walthamstow did complain about them, but not whilst in power and able to do something.

Sounds like it's not immediate then. Unless they're going to be removed from the advertising slots as soon as possible perhaps.
QFT. :D
She'll have to pop out a sprog now to get the money rolling back in since Cash Lady has let her down.
