The Nook Simple touch (£29) and Nook Glowlight (£69) have been reduseced to the prices in brackets in most stores in the UK.
I decided to get a glow light, as the simple touch was sold out in my local stores, and the light function is quite neat. I also like the physical buttons which the paperwhite does not have.
I had heard that its possible to root as it runs on android, and can run browser, email, and even the kindle app on it. Has anybody here done this yet ?
I think there's a difference in the UK and US firmware s, so don't want to brick it

It is different, but the e-reader version also runs an older version of android and can be rooted,

Could be handy to install dropbox to sync epub books, install the kindle app etc.

Rooting was easy, look for NookManager at XDA
It's great in sunlight as it uses e-ink, like the Kindle
