Those poor girls, I wonder how many times they wished they were dead, awful of this man to do this. I hope he had the decency to leave the little girl alone, despite his obvious lack of respect for women and for the law.
It's so hard to comprehend someone going to these lengths. Chaining them up for 10 whole years, just to use them for his sex slaves, it's insane. Working as normal during the day and then going home to rape three women. One would be heinous, but to keep 3 of them is beyond comprehension.
Terrible, terrible ordeal. I'm guessing the women will in time sign book and may be even film deals. The books will be best sellers and earn them enough money to live comfortably for the rest of their lives.

Really? Have any of the other girls/women who were imprisoned like this done that? Or, the famous cases of boys being abducted and kept? I honestly havent heard of any.

I don't envy their tortured , tormented lives tbh.
They will have changed forever.
We may never get to know the true facts of what they had to endure , thankfully.

And I'd bet you that they would swap that comfortable life for their ten years returned to them - you know, the ten years when they were beaten and raped, punched when they were pregnant, lost hearing from repeated blows, chained up like animals, hopelessly wondering if they would ever be freed.
The truth is that they are unlikely ever to feel comfortable again.

Haven't read all through this, but does anyone know why this guys 2 brothers don't seem to have known what had been going on for 10 years?
It's widely reported that both brothers are chronic alcoholics. In fact, according to some reports, when the police went to arrest one of them, they found him lying in the garden, totally drunk.
"..county prosecutor Timothy McGinty said that his office intends to pursue charges of kidnapping and sexual assault, as well as aggravated murder, which could carry the death penalty".
The aggravated murder charges would stem from the forced miscarriages that police say were suffered by one of the women at the hands of Castro.."
"Investigators say Castro lured the three victims into his car at the ages of 14, 16 and 20. When they were imprisoned at his home, the women were apparently bound by ropes and chains at times and were kept in different rooms."
"Authorities say the women had multiple forced miscarriages. A police report obtained by the Plain Dealer said Castro forced another of his alleged captives, Michelle Knight, to deliver the baby and threatened to kill her if the infant did not survive. The baby stopped breathing, and Knight resuscitated the child by breathing into her, the report said."

The women watched TV progs about them being missing, vigils etc.
Dr Drew says terms like sociopath don't really work for Castro, prefers "trauma survivor", "sexual predator" "monster".
I am surprised they are being sent back home so soon they need some time in "decompression" space -I am sure that happened with other girls. To have some quiet time before the furore of publicity and the trivia of everyday life , and to gather themselves together. Maybe their health insurance has expired and the hospital wouldn't keep them:(
I read in the paper this morning that Michelle Knight still hasn't seen any members of her family. I know that she didn't have the best relationship with her family, but this makes me feel really sad. Hopefully she has some kind of support network.
It is sad to hear I agree. I'm hoping her needs will be met by the authorities etc if her family aren't there for her.

I read somewhere that her brother visited her in hospital on the night that she was rescued.

FBI excavating garden looking for human remains, possibly foetuses.
CNN being very cautious after their mistake in Boston.
No I haven't changed my POV. I think it's sick of you trying to "score points" in what is a terrible case. What is your problem?
Well said. The poster seems to think this is some sort of game.
I would have thought that also.
Excellent Thanks so much for the link!
I doubt there would be anywhere he could go and remain safe to be honest even if he could afford the bail amount.

Thanks for the link. Sad details about her having a mental condition, coupled with being only 4ft 7ins I doubt she could have put up much of a defence
