What exactly does Iwata have jammed up his rectum to explain that bizarre posture?
Nintendo Direct is a good idea, but not a single one of them, has me convinced that Nintendo's woes are going way anytime soon!
Mario
That's what happens when Reggie comes around to kick your ass.
Mr. Iwata is lucky he managed to run away in enough time to keep his name.
probably one of the best games ever made
watch and learn, other 2 games companies
Yeah, Microsoft and Sony, watch and learn how Nintendo give you a botched 50hz conversion of a 19 year old game, with subtitles in 3 different languages simultaneously plastered all over the screen.
To be fair, I'm interested to see what they have to say. Can they turn things around? I've just about lost all hope to be honest.
Even if the IPs are old and overused (even though you're clearly referring to Mario and the various titles are all of different genres/gameplay style), that doesn't stop them being good games or stop them from selling well.
If I was a hardcore Nintendo fanboy: I would say they are 'coming soon' !! But I think they are have trouble developing HD standard titles. You don't think?
Also, when they do bring out that BIG HD zelda experience, I DON'T want to look at my low res Tablet Controller, thank you!!
From the sounds of it it's basically an "update" Direct for 1st party games they have already shown...the new stuff will be in 3 weeks time at the E3 Nintendo Direct. I think this will just be a "clear the decks" type of direct (get all the news out about announced games so they concentrate on the newness next time)
Expect more from-
Pikmin 3
Wonderful 101 (maybe a date)
Wii Fit U
Wii U Party
Super Luigi U
Game & Wario.
...and maybe a few 3DS bits and pieces.
We might get Wind Waker reborn footage....if we're very, very lucky....
...and maybe some detail about what's happening with their next big system update.
Do not criticize the great Super Metroid with that disgusting smilie.
Still, it would have been nice to have had a couple of second teaser for what they'll be showing around E3 time at the next Nintendo Direct....even just a split second reflection Samus' face in her visor (like in Metroid Pime when you hit electrical traps).....a man can dream
I don't get SEGA sometimes, they have the Nintendo exclusives, and then the next few games are on like EVERY console ever (Even the damn Vita gets them!) and then they go Nintendo exclusive for one game again??
All in all, usual Nintendo tosh, oh look another Mario Olympics game, so amazing,, Nintendo have got to the point where they have partnered with SEGA to get games, which is the only interesting thing really as SEGA still make good games, a shame the next Sonic game won't be available on all platforms, but at least we'll be getting the remastered versions of Sonic 1 and 2 whilst the Wii U gets the old emulated ones.
I'm not criticising Super Metroid. It's Nintendo's lazy attitude that's the problem.
UK (and English speaking EU) gamers should have been able to download the English language 60hz version that's available in the USA.. Instead, everybody has been lumbered with a crappy, decades old 50hz botch job, with a ridiculous translation solution.
That kind of attitude makes me want to part with £300 even less than I did already.
It's exciting to think we will be getting both a brand new 3D Sonic AND Mario game by Christmas. Sonic: Lost World looks like it could be great, hope they do some cool things with the Gamepad and also allow W&N support. Most of all I'm hoping for the last mystery title is to be Sonic Colours 2!! Oh yeah please let that happen Sega!
That would be interesting. I'm personally hoping for a Sonic Adventure 3!
...wait, SUMO are also doing the next LittleBigPlanet games arn't they?
Sonic Vs Mario Kart and also LittleBigPlanet Karting under the same roof, ...that's a pretty big task, I have faith though, SUMO have done brilliant work with the SEGA All Stars Series.
