Microsoft now have a free downloadable users' manual available for Windows 8, which explains how to perform common operations in Metro and Desktop modes using touch, a mouse, or (where relevant) a keyboard.
As well as being potentially useful for new Windows 8 users, anyone considering whether to buy a new computer might find it helpful to make the decision between Windows 7 or Windows 8 from a position of knowledge.
Rather confusingly, the manual is officially called the "Windows 8 End User Training Brochure". It's an Adobe Acrobat PDF file.
It can be downloaded from:

Why don't you give it a rest for a while?
I will. I'm just in the mood for slagging off Windows 8 at the moment
