Michael Douglas looks very impressive indeed in the part.
From the few clips I saw I wouldn't be surprised if his performance turns out to be award winning.
But apparently it's not being distributed in America, because it is felt that there won't be an audience for this type of film.
By the way it's directed by Steven Soderbergh
I saw it this afternoon and wasn't impressed. Self indulgent twaddle. He wanted to turn Scott into a clone of himself. I turned it off after half an hour or so.
If it's on TV in the US, won't any swearing etc. be cut? I'd rather see it in full than some chopped up verison.
Saw it earlier and theres swearing plus its pretty racey in parts.
I thought it was very good. It didnt try too hard to be funny and the interplay between the two was mesmerizing. Douglas was charm personified and Matt Damon played oversensitive to a tee.

I could see him as Liberace actually.
I think he could give a good performance.
Why is it some good looking actors when they get old look like old women? Michael Douglas does, so he'll be great as Liberace.
He's a fine actor but not sure I can see him as a great entertainer and showman like Liberace but who knows
He looks good in the trailer:

i thought this was a new thread 5 years old, wow
so is it going ahead ?
the films with MD are either swearing and having sex in, so will this still happen
Michael Douglas is a good actor but all he does is swear and have sex
Its been shown at Cannes and is being shown on HBO on 26th May.
I saw a trailer for it in Cineworld earlier so its being released in cinemas too. Not sure when though or if it is a nationwide or limited release.
