Fast & Furious 6 - I didn't think they'd be able to go bigger and dumber than Fast Five but it looks like the filmakers did just that. This movie makes the original 'The Fast and The Furious' look like the most grounded action movie ever. I did enjoy it, though I'm not sure as much as I did with the previous installment because I loved the Rio backdrop. I love London but it seems to be featured in ever major blockbuster these days.
Abraham Lincoln - Vampire Hunter: 5.5/10. I thought it would be a silly actioner. In fact it seemed to be pitched as being a serious idea and was all the less entertaining for it.
Resident Evil - Retribution: 6.5/10. I can't decide if I really enjoyed this or not. Hot girls in skimpy/tight outfits and nods to the games always help but I'm not sure it was all that satisfying. The Wesker bad guy seems to be an Evil Max Headroom.
Another average night on Sky Movies Premier really.
Vera Drake .2004 ...8/10 ...very emotional powerful film ...brilliant BAFTA winning performance by Imelda Staunton....and a great supporting British cast !...and many other cameo appearances aswell by Lesley Sharp , Liz White and Nicky Henson to name a few !
The Adjustment Bureau 6.5/10 - It's ok. I thought it was unusual to see sci fi and romance mixed together but felt the romance side of it actually ruined the film
Hereafter 6/10 - I would have heaps preferred this film if they didn't make one of the character's story really, really sad. I still have blotchy eyes from watching it!
Startrek Into Darkness - 8.5/10 - I really enjoyed it. It's just a great action/sci fi movie
The Great Gatsby (3D) - loved it! didn't recognise any of the criticism that's been levelled at it. Great acting by Leo Di Caprio and Toby McGuire, plenty of substance over style. No-one rushed to get out at the end - which said it all. I think it does benefit a great deal also from being seen in 3D as some effects are just superb. Glad I ignored the reviews!

A fairly decent take on the
Enjoyed it a lot more than The Longest Day, although one or two of the big name American actors were a bit cringeworthy imo.
Then I watched the first star trek (reboot) fantastic film
I do have a soft spot for this film, it's probably cus of Will Smith he's so likeable!
Die Hard - 7/10 Finally got to see this all the way through, v good action film.
6/10
Django Unchained - 8/10 - loved it, Christoph Waltz is brilliant.

Which was on BBC2 this morning. A comedy from 1934, which I enjoyed. Never heard of it before today.
What the hell no real "bad guy", CGI and post processed to hell. What a let down. I could have done better myself.
Very good film a few historical inaccuracies due mainly due to dramatic licence but well worth the £8 for the ex rental blu ray from Blockbuster.
Thought it was a pretty good film much better than its sequels and has a pretty good soundtrack to boot
Hereafter 6/10 - I would have heaps preferred this film if they didn't make one of the character's story really, really sad. I still have blotchy eyes from watching it!
