The Great Gatsby (3D) - loved it! didn't recognise any of the criticism that's been levelled at it. Great acting by Leo Di Caprio and Toby McGuire, plenty of substance over style. No-one rushed to get out at the end - which said it all. I think it does benefit a great deal also from being seen in 3D as some effects are just superb. Glad I ignored the reviews!
9/10
I saw it the other night, and really enjoyed it, especially in 3D. I never bother with reviews. I'd rather make up my own opinion.
A couple of people have said to me that they haven't been Leo fans previously, but thought he was really good in the film.
Also, watched The Campaign with Will Ferrell and Zack Galifinakos (I'm sure I've spelt that wrong) this weekend. I did chuckle out loud in a few parts, but didn't think it was as good as I thought it would be. I like a fair few of Ferrell's films, but The Hangover films are probably the only ones I like Zack in.
Honestly one of the worst pieces of shit i've ever sat through, devoid of anything remotely positive. I think i've enjoyed paper cuts more than i enjoyed this...

Are you a fan of the series?
I am, but I agree with what you say about this one.

To be totally honest, no, I'm not a fan of these films (although I love the games, with the exception of Resi 6 which was a huge let down). The first film was just about passable, but the sequels have just become steadily worse, culminating in this abortion of a film. The other 4 at least had a "so bad it's entertaining" factor, but this one was just a charmless bore that felt like extremely poor fan fiction.

It treads the line between slow-paced and too-little-happens but if you stick with it there's some very striking cinematography if nothing else.
Iron Man 3 7.5/10
Great action movie much improved over 2
Star Trek into darkness 8.5/10
Loved it, don't care what the haters says it was a brilliant sci fi romp which I think is a genre that is lacking at the moment.

Fun, but would have been better without Arnie and the Jackass idiot.
Another Blu Ray I might buy.
5/10
Ambitious but dated.

Easy viewing but overly sentimental in places.
This film was so much fun, and i enjoyed it as much as Fatal Attraction which i gave a 10/10, so i guess i might have to score this a 10 also.
I like your rating system, I might have to start using it.
