Happy 10th birthday X Factor UK..
I only recall spoilers being posted since 2009...
Anyway, I'm hoping the talent this year is on par with the 2008 or 2011 series. 2008 was a monster year because of all the different types of female acts (Rock chick, two big diva singers, indie girl, old-school jazz singer) and also because of JLS and Austin. But 2011 was incredible. That year's final had to be the best final in terms of all-round talent. Little Mix, Marcus, Amelia. You couldn't get three more diverse acts and they all deserved their place unlike in previous years (Christopher, Eoghan etc). If this year manages to capture my interest in the same way the 2008/2011 series did, I'll be watching again.
Applause Stores still have a sign up page to reserve tickets for nationwide auditions.. that would surely have been taken down by now if they weren't happening. Having said that, they're not the most competent bunch.
This one looks like you can see the judges desk on a screen in the background: http://instagram.com/p/aJIjJ_DDkp/
Yes they usually go till late. We got out about 9.30/10pm last year after the evening auditions in Newcastle.. where we saw James Arthur's audition
It looks like theres a window behind the judges rather than a screen with X Factor branding as with the first 5 series, nice touch.
Set is looking much more sophisticated than when they last did audition rooms.
A panel with Nicole, Sharon and Louis is going to be utter chaos so he's needed to ground it a little bit more. I think he has more of a place than ever this year, whereas for the last 2 years Tulisa has also been fairly level headed and the combination of the four has been pretty boring.
I don't think they could have got away with just sticking up a giant photo after the arena auditions otherwise it would be going backwards. The American Idol audition sets are quite impressive, I imagine they will have taken inspiration from there.
Yeah, the window behind the judges desk is very American Idol I think.
Seems very likely thats what it will be.. they might switch Nicole and Gary though as they did for last year's live shows.
Reminds me of American Idol's auditions

I was thinking they would have 4 single weeks of audition room auditions and then maybe 2 weeks on a Saturday and Sunday of arena auditions.
Of course they have to hightlight the "it's not about the voice only", but I don't know if it's only to feud with the voice... I think looking for a global package act that be successfull has always been the X factor aim. They are staying true to themselves in this sense.
I get a good feeling from this panel for now: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=uwA_oWkY4DI
