Great show tonight, best for a while. I thought at 15 it was curtains but after all those pushbacks!
Looking forward to see how the Beast does on the US version of the show
I thought it was curtains for the team too, i thought beforehand they were a strong team who under performed in the final chase but they certainly made up for it with the push backs and they deserved there win.
As for the Beast on the US version, I'm sure he will be a hit.
I'd watch that final chase again. Without his answers , Mark would have won.
Yes he redeemed himself there. They needed him but I do hate it when contestants take money off those who have worked hard. But that last girl was brilliant and braver than I would ever be.

I wonder too. I imagine that, in the USA, general knowledge questions will be skewed differently to those here.
I can't remember ever watching an american quiz show so am only surmising.

Thats the thing.TV questions will be American based for a start.
I used to watch Jeopardy back in the day:p
I actually couldn't agree more with this! I hate when people take a minus offer. Lower offer yes but hate people riding on the coat tails of the contestants who done most of the work and having the cheek to take money off them to do so!
In the end he didn't actually reduce the final pot, because Mark made it up to a round £50k by offering the last contestant £38k. If he had taken £1k rather than minus £2k, then Mark would have just offered the last contestant £35k. And, as has been said, they may well not have won without him, so rather than taking money off people, in this particular case he helped ensure they gained money. (This scenario is obviously rare and wouldn't have worked if he'd been the 4th player or if the 4th contestant hadn't taken the higher offer.)

That's why I remember what it means.
