Tanyas exit pulled Eastenders ratings back into the 7million+
which is evidence that Tanya is a much loved character that can even bring back viewers.

Maybe a lot of people tuned in to make sure she'd gone.

Jeez, this time last year it would have been about 10 mill for someone of Tanya's caliber.

Not in June. Janines wedding didn't pull in 10m last year, the House explosion with Mad May didn't pull in 10 million and in fact EastEnders LOWEST EVER figure of 3.9m was in June.

The fact of the matter is NOTHING last night was able to come out on top apart from EastEnders. 7.7m a total with BBC3 and I expect the BBC1 peak was around 7.5m

It will timeshift past 8million for sure.

Of course that's not saying EastEnders can't manage higher than that in June but I am just saying that other big storylines/big Characters involved haven't gotten 10million in june for sometime.

One episode doesn't mark a turning point, normal service will be resumed come Monday with EE at least 1M below Corrie.

Well, that is certainly one interpretation.
