For Eamnon you could say how the mighty have fallen...in his GMTV days it would be him that would always be guarenteed the summer off and now he has to work it. I am guessing his kids are older now so it isnt a problem, I take it Kelly is taking it off to look after her 30 year old daughter
The big names don't have the summer off to look after their kids.
They have the summer off because they have a good contract due to them being at the top of their game, and take time off when the number of regular viewers is lower.
I can't believe I'm saying this because I've never really liked pieman but it really is so much better with Ruth and Eamonn. Ruth is by far the most professional presenter of the four and the chemistry between her and Eamonn is real and amusing. I don't watch it much when the other two are on but I sometimes detect a bit of irritation in Pip when Holly gets more attention as though he's wondering if he has created a monster.

I like the pairing of Holly & Eamonn the best, but they rarely present together. When Holly isn't with Phil, she comes out of her shell much more and becomes a much better presenter. It's almost as though shes watching herself when Phil is there.
Eamonn & Ruth are better than Phil & Holly on the whole though, I like Eamonns sarcasm and dry humour, he basically says what most viewers are thinking, for example today when they had the man and woman who think they're Jesus and Mary. It's just a shame that they always get lumbered with the (even more) rubbish version of the format that revolves around celebrities doing stupid things.
Love Eamon and Ruth, so glad to finally be rid of the other two for the summer. I think P&H hung around for longer than usual this year!
They've stayed on/getting the same amount of time off this summer as last year.
I do prefer Holly and Phil, but Eamonn and Ruth are still very good. I love the great husband and wife chemistry that they have and the fact they tell each other off...
Yes exactly 4 days a week Eamomn does sunrise from 6 till 9, then he races to get to the studios, its surprising, he still does both to be honest.
At times he has only just made the studio by 10:30, i guess partly is down to how the sunrise show went, and what storys.
With have Philip and Holly, worked later into the summer this year im not sure, with most schools, still carrying on till middle of next week, i thought they would have worked until this friday
I actually prefer it when the pairs are mixed - Ruth and Phil presenting together, and Holly and Eamonn. Maybe it's the novelty factor of the usual pairs being mixed.
(Incidentally, if you were to nominate a 'lead' presener for each pair, who would you choose? I'd say Phil and Ruth lead their respective pairs, whereas when the pairs are mixed it's more equal. I'm not saying that Eamonn and Holly are weak presenters - they're definitely not - but the dynamic of the current partnerships is, to me, a 'lead' and a 'supporting' presenter whereas mixing the pairs creates a more level playing field.)
Any word on who'll be doing Fridays, or are Eamonn and Ruth doing all 5 days? Previous years have given us a few random pairings - Kate Thornton and Peter Andre anyone? Or Paddy McGuinness and Andrea Catherwood? I'd have said Emma Wllis was a cert to get the Friday job for the summer, but Big Brother commitments might mean she doesn't want to take on the extra role.

It's only 5 days a week like most people work. 10 hours a day. Eamonn probably has to get up before 4am for Sunrise. Although Eamonn does sometimes do some recordings for Songs Of Praise at the weekends. Maybe they need to prep for This Morning after the show. Sky News have a good team.

I don't doubt that Eamonn earns a lot but those figures really sound like random ones plucked out of the air. I mean Amy Childs £2.75 mill? And James May but no Clarkson? Similarly, Lorraine Pascale but no Jamie Oliver, Hansen but no Lineker?

I never question how much time Kelly takes off. 52 weeks would be my preference!:D

The Nannie or parents do?

Pip wanted someone that would make him look good and maintain his 'main man' position. Ruth would have put him in the shade.
It's obvious why she didn't get it! . x.
This ^^ Eamonn is always putting Ruth down, really don't know how she puts up with it
But IMO Eamonn comes across as a very needy fat ****

Emma Bunton and Jamie Theakston are hosting some.
