Looks like the may now be waiting for the regional news to be over?

ITV will be spitting - waiting to announce the baby news until after EastEnders finished yesterday; waiting to reveal the baby until the regional news finished today... it's not worked out for them at all. :D

The @itvnews is extended. We'll be on air until 7.30. Live coverage of the future king (hopefully!)

Surely BBC regional news shows could hand over to Paddington and not have BBC1 miss it?!

Putting ratings first - denting EE the no 1 priority, as always, whilst letting the news hoover up 5-6m EmFm patient viewers!

This going disastrously for BBC1 again!

Two royal baby ratings wins for ITV in a row, all down to the soaps and the timing of the royals!

BBC1 won't miss it! The royal press officers are timing it to be on BBC1 - convinced!

    Not at all. What nonsense.

There's can ongoing major incident on River Wear which the BBC NE are covering followed by regional storm warnings.

You wanted it to be after 7 as you'd assumed that ITV would therefore miss it.

You were also glad it was announced after EE last night as well.

Fiona Bruce did say people could see it on the News Channel; I didn't think she meant it though!

    Crumbs!

Perhaps they took the complaints last night too seriously?

Or are assuming everyone will already be tuned to the News Channel?

This is astonishing error of judgement by the nation's channel!!
