BabestationX LCN 174 has been shut down by The Authorities.
full quote on bsx blog
Look like it we still carry on but as a web show only.
Will the same happen to Television X ?
What will the hours be use for?
I am happy that a paid channel has gone from freeview as there seem to be getting more and more over the last 3 years.
Yes..ok..you probably all know now…BSX the TV channel has been closed down.
For a number of months now rival broadcasters have been making vociferous complaints to the authorities about BSX including that we have been broadcasting material that was too strong for the UK market, the authorities have used every means at their disposal to pressure us and our various broadcast contractors to cease business, evidence used against us included screen grabs from our live shows that had been posted up variously online, whilst its understood that this is a form of appreciation of our product in this instance it backfired badly on us.
I can say the bsx website will continue to operate and will take the entire product ‘Online’ so the brand ‘BSX’ is by no means finished.
I will continue to post regarding updates to the bsx site and anything else relevant to the bsx brand.

Some of that information is wrong.Ofcom did not shut them down as BabestationX has a Dutch TV license all Ofcom can do is pass on any complaint to NICAM.
If you don't want to be regulated by a British regulator and follow their rules, don't come crying to your British viewers when another an overseas regulator does things it's own way.
The programs have not been removed from the EPG yet.
Are in Adult channels licence due to expire this year or next year on freeview?
The Freeview EPG is some time wrong. But it more right than wrong.
I assume it was technical violations that got them shut down. If they'd fully complied with Ofcom's content and telephony guidelines then they'd probably still be broadcasting now.
Cameron's turning out to be the ultimate paper tiger - all warm words but no action not least because his Aussie mate, Lynton Crosby, will be whispering in his ear telling him how much tax revenue these porno channels generate so there'll deffo be no action against them.
Well if he does what he promises  then yes good, if not hes just the lier we all know him to be anyway, like all polititions.
If Cameron gets his way I suppose their licences will be kaput! They would loose out big time!
No, Cameron and his lobbyist friend Lynton Crosby are all in favour of profits no matter how they are generated so there will be no overall ban on any of the slapper channels on any platform.
Plus with the hours of broadcast no one really wants to waste money putting on anything else on the main services hence teleshopping etc. in the wee small hours.
That is where Top Up TV came in handy use the dead hours over night to download programmes to your PVR which you can watch when it suits the next day. I always thought it was a really clever idea use the space but allow the viewer the choice of when to watch (of course with catch up via the internet you can do the same if you are on the internet and have a suitable device and broadband etc.)
Got a link for that? I know a fair few people that would to read it.
Do you mean 69.;)
OFCOM does not regulate premium rate telephone numbers.
the regulator is PhonePayPlus.
Whilst a lot of it was the normal rubbish they did get quite hard with erm how can I put this open leg shots something not even tvx have done.
Anyway its a shame but thats british tv for you.
Ofcom is responsible for the regulation of premium pay phone services, Phonepayplus is an agency of Ofcom.
