Aaron and Deana both had massive support, much more than Gina, (who's popularity I believe to be exaggerated). It was aggressive, offensive, obnoxious insulting etc

This year Hazel has that support.

Deana had nowhere near the support Gina has. Deana was hated on Twitter and Facebook - they loved Conor!

It's great. She's assumed that was why she was so popular, bolstered by the boos and immense dislike for Hazel, via the BB public task, and kept it up, no doubt assuming it was keeping her 'real'. She now recognises it's totally backfired and is 'stopping' that particular game, So she has very little game options left.

I don't think Gina's popularity and Hazel's unpopularity affected Gina in any way. Gina doesn't like Hazel and doesn't trust her and Hazel doesn't like Gina. I feel both women on Friday night's LF got together and realised BB was trying to create a mountain out of a molehill and decided not to rise to it. Both Gina and Hazel were being called to the DR up to 6 times a day to answer questions about each other last week.

On last night's LF Gina said she didn't hate Hazel but still did not trust her and was not going to talk about her any more. I think Hazel realising Gina's popularity cottoned on to this a couple of weeks ago and stopped badmouthing Gina, however Hazel now seems to have taken her survival as an indication she can now resume hostilities with Gina, hence her 2 nil stuff on last night's show.

I've seen Gina bitching about Hazel that never made it to the HLs .

    Likewise with Hazel honey...

I think Gina will win....people arent going to go off her because shes no fan of Hazel. Its all about timing and hazel has been very lucky with that...others have been more hated at that time...doesnt mean we have forgotten what she is...she isnt liked and her time will come....hopefully she will be evicted when there will be a minimum amount of time for an interview and coverage.

Exactly, Hazel is lucky with the people she has been up against and that they have had bad weeks.

    Fair play to her.

I would rather Hazel and Gina be there than Sophie, Charlie and Twins

..which is probably what BB bosses are hoping for so that there won't be time to ask those er, "questions";). This is to avoid her answers being used for or against, if things go (or are already) legal.

I was a massive Gina fan from the start up until the last few days but her constant negative comments about Hazel (who I don't particularly care for,I might add), has become very tiresome to watch. It's an irrational reaction to Hazel.Yes,they don't get on and have different values but to keep going on and on about her is not doing Gina any favours. It's coming across as petty.

I also am beginning to like her less than I did.

Thing is most of Gina's comments about Hazel are made in the DR where BB seems to prod her for some Hazel soundbites. It's even got to the point where Gina's told BB she's said enough about Hazel and doesn't want to have to talk about her anymore.

I understand that but what about after the eviction when she was saying to Dexter in the front room that she just wants Hazel gone? Or moaning at Hazel in the bedroom about being hurt in the wrestling task? She's always sniping and I think Hazel has had enough by the looks of it.

I watched BBBOTS all last week and when Emma asked who would win, the name Gina came up the most. Then what did Emma do, change the subject onto other housemates time and time again.

Emma is so biased for the twins and she should be fair and give them all a chance. The audience shout for Gina and it has been ignored so many times, is it any wonder that Ginas popularity is going down when the twins get all the tasks.

If Fridays crowd were shouting Gina out, I didn't hear it and after all the negatives coming from Emma I wouldnt be surprised if the crowd were primed to do it.

You don't think Gina's attitude to Hazel this week could not have been influenced by BB? She was apparently called up to six times a day to the DR to answer questions about Hazel, you don't think they could be giving Gina a nudge in the direction they want her storyline to take?

In which case I would be even more mindful, if I were Gina, not to give the producers what they want and make a concerted effort to not engage in any conversation with Hazel that could be deemed confrontational or negative or even make comments about how much you want Hazel to leave. If she's playing along with it then she shouldn't be surprised if she's now getting a lukewarm reaction from viewers. 7 weeks in and we are bored with it

Nobody has really remembered a HM since Jade have they?

Only Craig, Jade and Brian ever became well known outside of BB.

Maybe also Alison and Nikki to a lesser degree.

    Who else? :)

I think Spencer had a brief stint on some sort of fishing programme and John Tickler was actually rather good on Brainiac Science Abuse - but haven't heard from him lately.

Even if she doesn't win, she'll be remembered as great entertainment. Look how well Jade did outside of the house, she was remembered more than Kate/Jonny

That was 11 years ago and people who've never watched BB (such as my parents) know about Jade Goody.
The situation is completely different today and Gina will soon fade away.......

I'm not saying Gina is playing along with it I'm saying she is being not so subtly influenced by BB. She finally seems to have realised what was going on this Friday night.

Hazel is a lot more savy than Gina and I saw her fall for BB's manipulation on Friday night's LF.

Gina spent the last couple of weeks making negative comments about Hazel directly to the HMs as well. Gina main tactic has been to mention how bad Hazel is based on "what she saw when she was in the SH" without actually saying what she saw. We saw Gina using this tactic with Sophie in the live show on Friday. She did the same with Sam, Charlie, Dan, and Sophie on the LF.

It's a decent strategy because she never actually reveals what she saw, leaving HMs to imagine the worst. Unfortunately for Gina It hasn't really worked as the HMs she approached apart from Sophie are all still very close to Hazel and didn't nominate her. She even lost Callum after she blasted him for siding with Hazel instead of her. Gina said, on LF last night, she was fine with Callum going because he was disloyal to her.

....... Jade did so well on the back of a show watched by 8 million viewers............
She couldn't have done that well, she left nothing to her children when she died.
Her estate was pretty much bankrupt after the tax man finished with it.

I meant universal support in the sense of the forums, the bookies, the BBOTS audience and the eviction crowd all seemed to like Gina. I know Aaron had massive support on the forums but this didn't translate to support of the eviction crowd or BBOTS. Gina in this sense seemed like a 'perfect storm' kind of HM, less so now.

Can you explain why you think Gina's support is exaggerated? Apparently Twitter, Facebook, All the major polls have her at the top so I don't understand why you say this.
Deana had nowhere near the support Gina has. Deana was hated on Twitter and Facebook - they loved Conor!

It's seems to me that Ginas support is far less vivid, far less rabid and decidedly less loony

I'd say she is just about favourite, ( maybe, maybe not) but I think her support is far more muted than the almost maniacal support we saw for Aaron, Deana and Josie.

Oh yes John, and spencer but I still don't think they were known outside of BB or perhaps very specialised groups. In the case of spencer, very specialised. :)

Brian, Jade, Craig and Alison are recognised by mums and old blokes who've never seen BB.

I can't see that happening to any of the people who entered BB this year.

I'm just reminding myself that this, originally, was a reply to someone who thought Gina might be well known and successful when she left the house.

    I think :o

Suggesting she/whoever was looking after her finances did a bad job. However, I wasn't talking about financial success, I was referring to success in BB terms and she definitely was.
She is the biggest name to have come from BB until her second stint. That's unquestionable, really.

I see the long videos of live feed that were on dailymix and other sites have been removed and replaced with edited copies where you do not see a lot of the feed that we see on the night, and that was to see in the next days.

I'd agree with this in some respects. A HM like Gina has to tread a very careful path to retain her support, one wrong step and people can turn on her in an instant. Aaron could have taken a shit in the freezer, the fridge, the cooker, the shower and on the BB chair and his fans wouldn't have wavered for an instant.

I think certain FMs like to support a superposed victim so they've jumped from Gina to Hazel. I like supporting a HM warts and all.

Yes... As far as forum mania is concerned Hazel is this years Aaron or Deana, not Gina.

The disturbing thing is that you probably believe it too.
