I don't see why it would be insulting, the BBC often show full length sets of headline acts at festivals. I suspect this was more a case of Queen Bey not wanting us mortals to see her performance so she can release a DVD of her tour and make money out of it later on! It will almost certainly have been a commercial decision and will have little to do with the fans.
Do they? I cant recall a full set being shown at a festival, maybe with a LIve Aid type gig but not V/Glastonbury etc
I'm sorry, but Channel 4 have disappointed me in what they have shown of V Festival! What was the point??!
I think BBC should take control of this next time! I've never had a problem watching certain performances when BBC Broadcast Leeds/Reading/T in the Park etc!
I've not come across Rudimental before. They seem an ideal band for a festival.
Defintely - looked like one of the best sets of the weekend, certainly in terms of crowd size and reaction. I reckon they'll be back next year higher up the bill... and maybe even future headliners if they have another successful album or two?
Sunday night coverage seemed way more professional than Saturday's. Simple things like starting and ending with headline acts rather than some random act in a tent made it seem more structured and I thought there was a much better variety of acts on - Seasick Steve was a nice surprise, didn't expect him to be shown!
V coverage is absolutely dire so far, but then it always is... why on earth did they show 2 songs of DJ Fresh who was pretty low down on the bill, yet just 1 of nearly everyone else? The highlights with 30 second clips was annoying as well - with better planned coverage, those acts could have been shown properly! I'd have loved to see Of Monsters & Men particularly, but it seems that C4 aren't interested in broadcasting good music by bands who haven't played the festival before.
Paloma was very good IMO, but her coverage was excessive. Showing most coverage before the main acts perform is just stupid!
Did not to get to see none of this on TV this weekend.
A bit disappointing and with it not being on TV people won't see it and then won't sell as much tickets next year so you would think would like to have the coverage on TV at a good time

Doubt it'll make much difference... last year's coverage was similarly bad, and tickets this year were like gold dust! V always seems to sell out - so long as they book a few big acts they seem to do well.

BBC nearly always show the full sets of the headliners at Glastonbury/Reading & Leeds & T In The Park.
The only recent exceptions have been Rolling Stones and RIhanna.
Yes it did.

I can see why C4 couldn't put it on earlier today because they have The Mill and Southcliffe, but yesterday it was only two old movies!

Bet they didn't have this problem when bands like Foo Fighters and The Killers headlined...

Its a shame C4 don't give a crap (they didn't even sign the deal until June as they were holding off)
Hopefully V can sign BBC next year
How can you not know them? lol They're so popular at the moment.
They're amazing in my opinion. Although I'm sure rock is better for festivals than drum & bass.

I can't stand this sort of behaviour.
