That said, what really got me was seeing him splayed across the whole width of the diary room chair, so poor Vicky was forced out to perch on the arm. What a gent, eh?
apparently that is exactly why he is called Big Ron.
He is not a tall man and I do remember a TV doc a few years back about why he was called Big Ron and it was more to do with being the longest in the shower than any other physical stature.
It's a man thing, something to do with making themselves appear bigger. Men do the same thing when standing. Just observe when you're out and about shopping or something like that. If there's a man for instance waiting for his wife he will more often than not be standing with legs planted apart and positioned so you have to walk around him. It's a subconscious thing about looking bigger and therefore more powerful.
Its particularly noticeable when they do it on underground trains - they have to use both armrests for their massive manly arms too. I always have a little chuckle to myself when sitting opposite them in full view of the 'display.'

I've not noticed that many men doing this round here. I certainly don't do it. As far as the seated thing goes, a bit like when a woman then crosses her legs even when she's wearing trousers/jeans etc.
Just to say that I think Ron's got horrible looking feet. They aren't even straight as far as the big toe's concerned. I had to skip 30 seconds when I caught a close up view of them.

Maybe he needs to sit like this like a lot of old men with swollen legs just a thought
